Version 2.1 (ESPFE) available! I've decided to convert all my mods to ESPFE (ESL-flagged ESP) versions wherever possible. This means these mods will no longer take up a slot in your load order. Please follow the instructions below if you wish to update during a running game. If you're starting a new game, just install and enjoy.
I've also decided to only offer BSA versions from now on. If you need or want a version with loose files, download the Bethesda Archive Extractor and just extract the files from the BSA.
To update during a running game:
While in the game, create a Full Save (Not a Quick Save).
Quit your game to desktop.
Disable the old version of OregonPete's Vampire Makeover in your mod manager.
Restart your game.
The game will tell you that the OPs Vampire Makeover - Female Edition.esp is missing and ask if you wish to continue. Just hit Enter (should automatically be on Yes).
Create another Full Save (NOT a Quick Save).
Quit the game to desktop.
Enable the new version of OregonPete's Vampire Makeover.
No More Vampire Meat - Version 1.3 Available There's an addon in the Optional Files section that stops vampires from saying "Don't speak to me, meat!" In the previous version, I deliberately left Modhna (Castle Volkihar) out because she has additional lines for the DLC1FemaleVampire voice type. In this updated version, I've included the lines for her new voice type (FemaleCondescending) so you can actually have a (more or less) meaningful conversation with her.
Version 1.2 Available! The main changes are as follows:
Added fangs to Serana and Valerica
Added red vampire eyes
Altered the hair styles of Sybille Stentor and Modhna
Added a weight table for named vampires in case of neck seams
Here is a more detailed description of these changes:
Added fangs to Serana and Valerica. Finally! And believe me, that wasn't an easy feat. The reason is that, normally, only NPCs that are defined as vampire races can automatically receive fangs. Sadly, Serana and Valerica are NOT defined as a vampire race. No idea why Bethesda did that, although there has been much speculation over the years. Anyway, I've added the fangs, and I might even write an article on how it's done. And no, I did NOT use RaceMenu or any kind of sculpting to do it. :D
Added red vampire eyes. Another new feature is that I've added red vampire eyes from Aipex8's Fangs and Eyes mod. Vampires are generally defined with one of two eye types in the CK, so there should be a good balance between vampires with red or blue eyes. I've also slightly adjusted the appearance of those vampires that now have red eyes to better match the new eye color.
Altered the hair styles of Sybille Stentor and Modhna. I wasn't quite happy with Sybille Stentor, so I gave her something more authoritative. And since Modhna already had that hairstyle, I changed hers, too, and gave her red eyes instead of blue (because villians usually have red eyes, right?).
Added a weight table for named vampires in case of neck seams. I've discovered that, if you add this mod to an existing game, and some of the vampires were already included in a different mod but had a different weight, the vampire will have a neck seam. The reason is because the FaceGen meshes are created with a specific NPC weight in mind (you could say the weight is literally baked into the head mesh), but the system retains the old weight for the NPC's body. Since the NPC's body weight no longer coincides with the head mesh, you get the accursed neck seam. Fortunately, it's easy enough to fix:
1. Open the console (usually with ~ on most systems, depending on your keyboard). 2. Click on the NPC with the neck seam. 3. Type in the following and press Enter (substitute xxx with the weight in the table):
setnpcweight xxx
4. Close the console (again, just press ~). 5. Save (real save, NOT a Quick save!). 6. Reload the save. 7. Done! Your NPC should now be seamless.
You'll find the weights in the Vampire Weight Table.txt file that I've included in the main file. If the vampire with the neck seam isn't in the weight table, let me know, and I'll look the vampire up in the CK and tell you which weight you need to enter.
Thank you for your mods, i use most of them. I found a problem only with this one, as it adds assets meshes and tris and this is a bad feature as it messes with all characters look and even make my chars mouth to clip. So i fixed mine by just removing your files from character assets. This can happen if the person has other kinds of assets that are essential for their setup, so any other mod changing that will mess the things. Don't look this comment as something bad, i'm just saying some important and construct info, i love your npcs.
Thanks, GCrow, for bringing this to my attention. No, your comment wasn't anything bad, you were just pointing out a technical issue. I'm glad for any users who leave such constructive feedback. Give me some time to look into it, but you're probably right. The assets need to be removed.
@NameUser131 - Yes, taking them out with SSEEdit should work, but you'll also need to remove the assets (i.e. meshes and textures), or you'll get a Black Face bug. The simpler solution is to just load the replacers you want after my mod. Just ensure you have both the assets as well as the plugins loaded AFTER my vampire makeover, then everything should be fine.
@HurrBurr3 - We don't allow unfriendly or rude comments on the Nexus. I've reported your post, and I hope you haven't left such comments for other mod authors.
I like this mod very much, the Citizens even make frequent visits in BBLS. Using your mod together with Immersive Wenches the Vampire Wenches always kill the Citizens in taverns and also in BBLS. Can this be avoided somehow?
When you say Vampire Wenches, do you mean the traveling wenches that roam around Skyrim with the masks covering their mouths? Personally, I love Immersive Wenches, even had Deadly Wenches installed for a while. But I'm afraid I don't have it right now, so I can't tell you why they kill normal citizens. Maybe you need to create a patch? But I wouldn't know why my mod would conflict with Immersive Wenches. I don't believe they share any resources or NPCs.
Yes, those wenches with the red masks, like Eirisse, Lucilla, Allessandra etc. For now I removed them from BBLS so that the visiting Citizen has her peace.
Ha!
Yup, they were having issues with uploads last night, so I decided to call it a day and wait until morning. I'm getting a new archive uploaded right now.
Nice mod and all, but Is there a way to give vampires just normal looking eyes? It's way too easy to bump into a `citizen` and know he's a vampire just from his eyes which puts me into a quandary. For instance I went on a mission to rescue a citizen and after I'd killed all the bandits and got to the citizen, I saw he was a vampire... oh great. I liked it before when I couldn't tell until I attacked them. I play a character that's anti vampire and necromancy, etc. Also wouldn't most ordinary people instantly be able to see a vampire that's pretending to be a live human?
That's actually a good idea, and fairly easy to do. Give me some time, and I'll upload a FOMOD, or maybe even an MCM. But again, I think it's a good idea. Just need some time to do it.
Of course, if you want to change the eyes right away, that's fairly easy, too. The path to the folder in your Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder is (and you can ignore capitalization):
I don't know if you use a mod manager like MO2, but if you do, you can move the textures from another mod into the appropriate folder in my mod and rename the files to the names above. Mods like The Eyes of Beauty SSE or even The Eyes Of Beauty - Vampire Eyes SSE will give you plenty of textures to choose from. If you don't use a mod manager, or you do but it places all the data from your mods in the same folders in your Skyrim SE installation, all you have to do is rename the relevant files. I would rename the original DDS files in my mod to something like eyevampire_01.save.dds and eyevampire_02.save.dds so you don't lose them.
Just wanted to let you know that I uploaded some alternate eye textures to the Optional Files section. You can download them from there. I uploaded some images of the textures and put them in a spoiler tag in the main description if you want to take a look. The textures are the dark blue and amber textures from Nazenn's Improved Eyes Skyrim.
Optional File for versions 1.0 and 1.1 Available! I've uploaded a file in the Optional Files section that removes the annoying "Don't speak to me, meat!" and gives you the regular dialogue options. What I did was change the voice type of those vampires from DLC1FemaleVampire to the regular FemaleCondescending or FemaleSultry. As the DLC1FemaleVampire voice type, the vampires didn't give you any dialogue options at all, but blocked any attempt to approach and speak with them.
Sadly, my "fix" also removes those interesting monologues they have when they think they're alone and no one's listening. But I might work on putting those back in a future version.
Requires a main file. Just let your mod manager override the ESP. Only works with main versions 1.0 and 1.1.
EDIT: The optional file is now available for version 1.2. CAREFUL: The two versions aren't compatible!
Sorry for the confusion. kmr6324 kindly made me aware of the error. I copied in the Data folder I used to create the BSA instead of the Textures folder. The new Loose Files version should now work correctly. I still suggest most people use the BSA Version 1.0.

Changes include:
- Made Modhna (Castle Volkihar) more attractive (she now uses hairstyle "Hannah")
- Ensured both blue AND red vampire eye textures are included
Perhaps make it optional?
Of course, if you want to change the eyes right away, that's fairly easy, too. The path to the folder in your Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder is (and you can ignore capitalization):
Textures\Actors\Character\Eyes
The file names are:
eyevampire_01.dds (blue eyes)
eyevampire_02.dds (red eyes)

p.s. I use Vortex by the way, but I have some experience in manually moving files.
