Reading the posts from the excellent MOD Maple Manor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28856) I realized I wasn't the only one experiencing CTD with Skyrim AE as soon as I entered the main maple manor space (but not the cellar). Fact is, I have been using this MOD with Skyrim SE since it came out and did not encounter this issue.
I tried to just use this MOD on a fresh vanilla start, thinking it could be a conflict with another MOD but had the same CTD issue with just this one.

I was given a hint that it was a texture issue and . NET confirmed it in the crash log. I could narrow it down to textures in 2 folders: textures/lor and textures/00_houseproject

I looked at the meshes also and found odd the name used for some textures as they looked like "dlc#bob#data#environment#decorations#gameplay#rich_district#textures#prp_rich_curtains_a.xbm.(2185).dds'"
I first thought the # in the names were responsible for the crashes but I now realise that the game can take it (I renamed all the one I found in the meshes nonetheless just in case. In the above exemple, the name is "prp_rich_curtains_a.xbm.(2185).dds").

The CTD came from really messed up textures that could not be extracted from the BSA easily and that no program could read afterwards. Looking in my huge list of MODs, I could find some clean textures that were identical in name, and functionnal.

I'm not an expert so maybe somebody will find I could have just replaced the textures but there are 4 textures I could not find anywhere so replacing the mesh was my only option (but the result could be odd looking because it"s not exactly the texture that the mesh is expecting. Ex the wardrobe.nif). Best to have an odd loking fourniture than a CTD ;-)

I hope I am not uploading things that are forbidden, I asked the MOD author who said I could make a patch for the MOD if I wanted. Should I offend someone, I would take down this MOD immediatly
