The archive now only contains the preset for the reshade. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone to install. Unfortunately this is not allowed. Sorry guys.
I tested my Reshade preset with the current Reshade version 5.0.2 and it works for me. For the menu I use Shift+F2 ... but I have read in forums that sometimes the Home key works instead.
With the latest reshade 5.1.0 you will need to choose this preset manually (better to put this preset in the game folder but no need), then choose to install Prod80´s Shader library and qUINT Shader library . But with HighPassSharpen.fx, you will need to download it manually from https://github.com/crosire/reshade-shaders, you will need also need to copy and paste the file manually to the reshade folder in the game folder. The same go for NativeEnhancer-FE.fx, you need to get it from https://github.com/dddfault/NativeEnhancer-FE. Hope this help!! This resgade preset is a hassle to install but i think it's worth the effort.
Thanks for the explanation but I'm having a problem with the file structure... for the HighPassSharpen shaders, do I just copy them over to the Shader folder in the Reshade directory and overwrite the files that are there?
edit: I definitely did something horribly... horribly wrong. This looks like it's a spectacular preset but I've turned it into a hot mess. If anyone can point me to some clearer directions to get this working, I'd like to give it another go but for now... something simpler.
I installed ReShade according to instructions on Description tab.
I followed the instructons to get qUINT and NativeEnhanser placed as required.
I jumped through hoops after the instructions failed to provide all files required for ReShade to complie the preset. I've tracked down fxh files not automatically installed (HighPassSharpen.fxh and dMarco.fxh, which Reshade expects it in the qUINT folder for some reason.
After all that, I restart Skyrim and get no compile issues. Yea.
Now I try to select the preset downloaded from here. ReShade tells me it's not a valid preset.
You said in your sticky post: "The archive now only contains the preset for the reshade. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone to install. Unfortunately this is not allowed. Sorry guys." Does that mean that the current archive doesn't work?
Anyone know what the issue is? Is ReShade worth all this effort?
You need to add in the .ini : "Techniques=" before "[email protected]" below "PreprocessorDefinitions=" for the reshade to work, for anyone in troubles.
i could be wrong, but is not it a problem of reshade version? I know that reading 4.9 presets with older reshade (4.3 is the most common due to the glitch for online game depth buffer) version doesnt activate the shaders in the preset. So maybe it's the problem.
I tested versions 5.2, 4.9 and 4.7 and in all of them the preset didn't want to load so I went to an other preset i allready downloaded and I saw that it was missing the "Techniques="
The problem is effect from GitHub https://github.com/dddfault/NativeEnhancer-FE . The settings for this differ from the ones in BlubboReShade2022 - Standard.ini . I was so pumped for this reshade but its impossible for me to make it work. I have tried with Reshade 4.91, 5.02 and 5.2.0 just to name i few. Then I tried to make the preset by myself according to the INI-file settings but then I can't find all the parameters. Especially NativeEnhancer-FE.fx is f'ed up. I downloaded it from https://github.com/dddfault/NativeEnhancer-FE, but when I do so I can't find all the parameters from your INI.
I anyone has made this work recently, please write down which version of Reshade you used, and which variant of Native Enhancer FX and were you downloaded it from.
Mmm this could be an interesting bolt on with an ENB. The qUINT stuff is really quite good. Used it to great effect in Oblivion. Nice to see someone playing with it here too.
Can anyone tell me which option in the enb settings I can change to make the shadows less dark? This reshader is outstanding, but sometimes I can't see anything in the shadow of a rock when it's still like 5 PM in game.

I've literally spent the last 2 hours trying to get this to work, but all it says is that the effects failed to compile

I followed your instructions to the letter and still get a not-valid-preset-file error.
I'm with BrotherShamus. As is, this preset (or maybe even ReShade) are all just too convoluted to bother with.
