So I am using your port to bethesda for skyrim se on PS5.
My followers are not attacking when I get attacked, or when they get attacked. They just run to the enemy with their weapon drawn and let the enemy kill them.
I also tried teaching it Flames, and it doesnt learn it or so I think because it's not equipping the spell. (Not in their inventory either), and i tried switching combat to magic, spellblade, nothing works.

Hello friend, thnk you for your work. I would love to download it but I have a question, I read in a comment you replied that its not for Skyrim AE. I have the SE but from steam, its weird, the game version is the same as AE, the 1.6.1700 version and sell the AE as a DLC. Anyway, that reply you made was from 2022, is this different now? could I use this with my game?
Hi, If you look through the comments down the page right near the bottom, user tman3117 said that it was working fine with their AE but they just had dark face bug which was probably completely unrelated to the game version and most likely a mod conflict. The best thing to do is start a new test game with this mod installed and see if you have any issues. If so, remove the mod and return to your original save (if there is one). You can't break anything that way but if it works fine then you'll know you can use it with any current save you have :)
Was this version of IAFT supposed to turn all my followers to vampires even if I'm not a vampire? Because that's what happened, and Cerwiden is not happy about it.
Hi, this has happened to before but is definitely not this mod. Take a look at page 2 in the comments from user JayrMax2, near the bottom of the page, as they had the same issue which was shown to be a mod conflict.
Hi, I was using the Older mod not this remake then I removed that mod and installed this one.. but the problem is.. The Lydia is turned into a vampire before we went to Graybeards.. how can I fix that.. Without a new save..? I have already tried setrace command but its not working for some reason. Any suggestions.. Let me know.
There isn't anything in this mod or the older version that has any effect on any npc unless you initiate them as a follower. So for any change to happen to Lydia via this mod can only happen once you have taken her as your follower. If you are playing from a previous save then she must have already been your follower when you removed the old version. If this is the case then did you use the MCM uninstaller from the old version to remove the mod (which involves dismissing ALL followers first) or did you just uninstall the mod via your mod manager and then install this one. If you didn't use the MCM then I suggest that you uninstall this mod (NOT through MCM but via the manager) and then reinstall the old version and then load a save that you know was good and was using the old version and then uninstall the old version the correct way through the MCM and then install this one after you have done that.
I know this is mainly for the vampire stuff but does this also fix certain followers not being registered properly or is that just Skyrim's own updates and I just have to reinstall the mod?
This mod was originally created as a complete follower overhaul but wasn't without its bugs and they were never really fixed by the original author. These bugs were more related to things like outfit management but were very minor. My release of this mod addressed the issues concerning vampire followers and the bugs that were originally present when turning followers into vampires. In regards to followers not being registered properly, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that so you would have to elaborate in order for me to help you with it. If you are referring to any issues caused from updating the game to the AE edition then I'm not going to be able to help with that as I have not updated my game to that edition as it is not compatible with a lot of mods I currently use in my own load order. If its not related to AE then let me know :)
Could I replace the old AFT with this version or is it not safe to do so? also I use vampire lord serana and velorica mod and velorica changes fine but serana refuse to change after the old aft stops working for her at all. Is serana's inability to change into vampire lord possibly due to aft bugging out for serana? (I get missing script parameter (conflict?) pop-up. Is there a way to fix serana and let her change into a vampire lord at will?
You would have to link me to the specific mod you are using but it defo sounds like a script conflict. Probably due to the vampire lord mod changing the same script(s) that aft uses. Patches are possible in most cases. Have you tried loading AFT after the other mod (not just the mod but more importantly the plugin (right hand pane in MO2))? And yes. it should be fine to replace AFT with this mod but I doubt that will solve the issue by doing that alone.
I'm confused. The mod you have linked as the 'other mod you found' IS this mod lol? As far as I remember, this mod allows up to 99 followers but in reality I would not recommend having more than several followers at any one time as this is almost certainly going to get buggy because the scripts are having to track a lot of info if you start having crazy amounts of followers. But if you want to risk it then cool, go for it. The resolution to the grey heads was to use a quest that puts the followers into an alias that gives them all the required keywords and spells to be seen as a vampire by the game but without changing their actual race. If you look at a follower you have turned into a vamp in the command console and look at their stats (use google if you don't know how), you will see that they are not an actual vampire race. Its a widely used technique that Bethesda themselves used to make Serana look human and not like a messed up rat like the vampires from the game before the dawnguard dlc. The eyes on the followers are changed via script everytime they change cell to apply the vamp texture otherwise they would have human eyes as soon as they move from the cell where they were turned. I am looking into a way to do the same thing with the mouth parts so that they will have vamp teeth as well so keep an eye out for an update :)
I just installed this mod because I've been having major issues with AFT and to my surprise, I have an 89 follower count. Is that true that this allows you to choose 89 followers??? And where is the "Make Follower Command?"
It is true, although I wouldn't recommend trying to travel around with 89 followers unless you are happy with 5 fps lol. Some npcs will already have the potential follower flag in their settings and will show the 'join me' option in their dialogue. For others, you can use the leadership spell which will cause the dialogue to appear on almost any npc. The advanced leadership spell will allow you to recruit any npc, even essential/quest specific ones. Be careful though as recruiting these npcs can break quest lines. Hey, it was great to get your response. However, I would like to know how to clear AFT from NPCs from other AFT mods. Even after I reset AFT and uninstalled it NPCs still had the "wait here" dialog and would not follow me. This is the case even after I have uninstalled and completed ( though I thought ) removed the mods from my files. NPCs are still saying, "Let's get going." and "I still waiting," even though they are not following me anymore. How do I purge that dialog from them to have them as functional followers again?
EDITED: This mod ( IFT ) COMPLETELY freed my followers from the above-mentioned issues caused by AFT!!! They were stuck in follower mode while not following me and now they are followers again!!!! DUDE, YOU ROCK!!!!! No blackface vampires either!!! Can you please, however, fix ONE thing though? They don't have fangs. Serena is beautiful but has fangs. Harkon was a Vampire Lord and had fangs. Can you equip NPCs that become vampires with fangs? They just have regular teeth.
Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, the way the 'fix' works is not able to change the teeth. The teeth to an npc is constrained to a specific heard part which is called depending on the type of npc. So any non vampire npc will have a non vampire head part applied when rendering them (controlled by the game engine and not this mod). A vampire part is only called when the npc is a vampire race. This fix doesn't change the actual race (AFT used to but that is what caused the head colour bug). Instead, the npc has all the necessary spells and keywords for a vampire applied to their alias and their eye texture is changed to the vamp one every time they change cell (texture changes are fairly easy but the teeth would require a mesh change which is not so east). I am looking into whether there is a way to manually change the teeth but it is a WIP (any suggestions from readers are more than welcome). Thanks again for using the mod.

Oh, we can't have that now, can we? lol Hey, I've been getting all of my followers that I had from the inferior AFT and ran into one slight tiny problem. After I managed their outfit and turned them into vampires; after dismissing them for a while and then returning to them I discovered that they were naked and their clothes would appear only when I have them follow me again. In AFT when I managed their clothes they would always wear them even after I've dismissed them. Also, they weren't vampires anymore. So I had to turn them again. This occurred with just a few of them thus far but not all of them. Do you know why that happened?
Please remember that AFT was not mine. Neither was IAFT. IAFT - Redone is my edited version and the only thing I have edited is the scripts concerning vampires. The fact that you said that not all the followers have this problem would suggest a conflict. I would need to know whether the affected followers were vanilla npcs or mod provided npcs. I would also need to know whether you use clothing replacer mods and whether they are auto distributed amongst npcs with something like spid. As far as I am aware, the outfit management system in all the AFT versions can be a little buggy at times, and that will most definitely be exaggerated by certain other type mods. Custom followers from other mods can have their own scripts or ai packages that are using the same scripts as AFT which would cause conflicts. Let me know which followers it was and what clothing/armour mods you use. Also, let me know which version of this mod you are using.
All of my followers are from the vanilla game. I do have mod armors and clothes but not all of my followers end up naked. There are some that I find still wearing what I gave them through outfit management
Not sure why that would be then? I haven't had anyone else report any issues like this before so I doubt it is this mod (regarding the followers not being vampires still). You would have to show me your load order so I can see what mods you have and how they are loaded.
Depending on which manager you are using, you can find a text file in your current profile showing your plugin load. Then you can use 'paste bin' or something similar for a link. If you google it you'll see it is not difficult.
That was the very website I found and it was no help whatsoever. It was poorly explained and all this ( Vortex mods-tab, click Open - Open Game Application Data Folder and your current plugin load order is the file "plugins.txt". ) I have no idea what he's talking about. Yet some Bozo claimed he had success. I found "load order" in my Vortex but when I click on it nothing appears
Sorry but I have never used vortex, I use MO2. I'm sure you'll find what you need on google. The link I gave was literally the first google result I found on a quick search. You'll find that google will become your best friend when it comes to using or creating mods.
MAN, this IAFT is buggy AF!!!! The outfits of my followers are disappearing. At first, I just applied Standard because in AFT that's all you had to do to keep them wearing the outfit you gave them even after you've dismissed them. Such is not the case with this IAFT. So I decided to apply for both Home and Standard. Again some NPCs keep their clothes but others don't. What's even crazier is that I had Adrianne Avenicci following and that 8!tch changed into entirely different clothing while she was following me. Dude, what is going on with this???
As stated in my previous response, This 'version' of IAFT is identical to the original apart from two scripts which control how a follower is changed into a vampire. The scripts in question are in the files section as a separate download for people who already had the original IAFT but wanted the changes that my scripts added. This version does not in any way change anything else, including the system that handles the outfit management. To see this for yourself you can simply download the original IAFT and then just load the 2 scripts from the files section here. Any issues you are having with outfit management are either due to a mod conflict or the bugs that are inherent in the original version not playing nice with your load order. Either way, it is nothing to do with this version specifically as not a single line of code or anything else has been changed apart from the mentioned scripts. If you look through the comments of other users both here and on my LE release, you will see that thousands of people are using this mod without issues other than the bugs that were inherent in the original release.
PS. You can also just use the 2 files with the original AFT if you prefer.
As I said before, the mod is not originally mine. I only corrected the issues regarding vampire transformations etc.I haven't touched anything to do with any other aspects of the mod, including outfit management. Have you read the posts from the original LE version?
Some things to remember: Always load custom/modded followers after AFT Load AFT as low in your load order as possible to fix most conflicts Never remove ANY scripted mods (including this mod) mid game, as this will almost certainly cause issues, unless the mod has an author approved method of removal
I personally don't have the issues that you are having same as most other users but the issue has been known since the mod was first released. Hope the info above helps and sorry I can't be anymore help than that :(

I don't know what you mean? There isn't any reason to remove anything. Most of the people who are using this mod don't use my Daywalker mod. The script simply runs a check to see if you have my daywalker mod installed and if so it gives the follower in question the ability to equip and unequip the enchanted item of sun protection depending on whether it is night or day or they are indoors. If the Daywalker mod is not installed then that section of the script is just ignored by the engine. A log will show this as an error but it is harmless.
Edit: I saw your post on the LE mod page. I have uploaded a file to remove the checks. Read the bottom of the description page on the LE version to see the instructions. The file from there can be used on SE.
It should be fine to install as it is just the esp carrying forward some USEEP and DLC changes. All of the versions of this IAFT are script edits only. Having said that, you do not need to install the patch as it is not listed as a hard requirement (although it will probably do more good than harm lol so I would recommend to). Hope that helps :)

My followers are not attacking when I get attacked, or when they get attacked. They just run to the enemy with their weapon drawn and let the enemy kill them.
I also tried teaching it Flames, and it doesnt learn it or so I think because it's not equipping the spell. (Not in their inventory either), and i tried switching combat to magic, spellblade, nothing works.
If you look through the comments down the page right near the bottom, user tman3117 said that it was working fine with their AE but they just had dark face bug which was probably completely unrelated to the game version and most likely a mod conflict. The best thing to do is start a new test game with this mod installed and see if you have any issues. If so, remove the mod and return to your original save (if there is one). You can't break anything that way but if it works fine then you'll know you can use it with any current save you have :)
I was using the Older mod not this remake then I removed that mod and installed this one.. but the problem is.. The Lydia is turned into a vampire before we went to Graybeards.. how can I fix that.. Without a new save..? I have already tried setrace command but its not working for some reason. Any suggestions.. Let me know.

However, I would like to know how to clear AFT from NPCs from other AFT mods.
Even after I reset AFT and uninstalled it NPCs still had the "wait here" dialog and would not follow me.
This is the case even after I have uninstalled and completed ( though I thought ) removed the mods from my files.
NPCs are still saying, "Let's get going." and "I still waiting," even though they are not following me anymore.
How do I purge that dialog from them to have them as functional followers again?

This mod ( IFT ) COMPLETELY freed my followers from the above-mentioned issues caused by AFT!!!
They were stuck in follower mode while not following me and now they are followers again!!!!

Hey, I've been getting all of my followers that I had from the inferior AFT and ran into one slight tiny problem.
After I managed their outfit and turned them into vampires; after dismissing them for a while and then returning to them I discovered that they were naked and their clothes would appear only when I have them follow me again.
In AFT when I managed their clothes they would always wear them even after I've dismissed them.
Also, they weren't vampires anymore.
So I had to turn them again.
This occurred with just a few of them thus far but not all of them.
Do you know why that happened?
I do have mod armors and clothes but not all of my followers end up naked.
There are some that I find still wearing what I gave them through outfit management
It was poorly explained and all this ( Vortex mods-tab, click Open - Open Game Application Data Folder and your current plugin load order is the file "plugins.txt". ) I have no idea what he's talking about.
Yet some Bozo claimed he had success.
I found "load order" in my Vortex but when I click on it nothing appears
The outfits of my followers are disappearing.
At first, I just applied Standard because in AFT that's all you had to do to keep them wearing the outfit you gave them even after you've dismissed them.
Such is not the case with this IAFT.
So I decided to apply for both Home and Standard.
Again some NPCs keep their clothes but others don't.
What's even crazier is that I had Adrianne Avenicci following and that 8!tch changed into entirely different clothing while she was following me.

Some things to remember:
Always load custom/modded followers after AFT
Load AFT as low in your load order as possible to fix most conflicts
Never remove ANY scripted mods (including this mod) mid game, as this will almost certainly cause issues, unless the mod has an author approved method of removal
I personally don't have the issues that you are having same as most other users but the issue has been known since the mod was first released.

Please remove ur look for daywalker script. Or tell us how to find it
Edit: I saw your post on the LE mod page. I have uploaded a file to remove the checks. Read the bottom of the description page on the LE version to see the instructions. The file from there can be used on SE.
