I just wanted to let you know I've confirmed this working with AE 1.6.353. And then I analyzed your dll and yeah there's nothing about this that needs to be updated to 1.6 AE as it stands right now. In fact, I'm quite sure you can do many more modifications of this dll before it ends up reaching the point of the mod dlls like Scrambled Bugs' dll which had to be recompiled.
Compatibility testing: (Yayyyyyyy!) But yeah it works great with Smilidon Combat (Mods# 20236 and 2824), Strike Obstruction Systems (Mod# 53050), AND Moridhau Parry System (only tested with feint, accel, and drag, Mod# 43858) which surprised me profusely. But it makes sense. None of those mods (while altering sparks and stagger systems by making almost complete new ones!) really target weapon impact or even monitor weapon swings, ONLY impacts. They mostly monitor impacts for their scripts, so this mod slips right through their scripts. Not only that, but Better Melee AI (Mod# 24936) also seems to make the NPCs wise to this tactic. Fast hitting enemies are burst-attacking me so I can't attack and then using a power attack to back me into corners. It's quite an intelligent (if not Dark Souls difficult) combat system with all these mods working together.
No thank YOU! Fenix, you're a god! I've been waiting for a mod like this forever, I am so happy. I really really appreciate this. Tracking forever. May a thousand kudos fly your way.
Fenix GOD: Precision address: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/72347 IT Can't weapon parrying. If your mod can take effect at the same time, I would be grateful very much
So I had heard rumors that fenix was not going to be modding anymore. Is this true? His mods are TOTALLY underrated (which I believe I read was one of his de-motivating factors).
I don't know that he ever fixed the Parrying/Precision issue, but I really HATE making decisions between two mods. Especially those I think are necessary to my game-play. I really need to find a replacement for this mod that works with Precision if he is not going to be updating or fixing any of his mods, though. I've gotten used to the gameplay with it installed. I think getting discouraged because many modders are downloading/using the newest "gotta-have" mods fails take into account those of us who routinely return to what we knew. Bigger, all-encompassing, and shiny are not necessarily better than straightforward and simple.
There's a good alternative for those who want compatibility with Precision: Parrying RPG.
From the modpage: "various factors such as weapon type, weapon skill, race, power vs. normal attacks, and sex are combined into a score. If the attacker's score exceeds the victim's by a sufficiently large margin, the attack cannot be parried. For example, if you want to be able to parry a swing from a two-handed axe with a tiny dagger, you'll have to be significantly stronger and/or more skilled to be able to pull that off. The exact values used in this system can all be customised in a .ini file, and the system can also be disabled entirely (causing the mod to behave much more like fenix31415's implementation does again)."
man .. so you don't get discouraged and raise your self-esteem, there are many people who don't know more than to demand a perfect mod and they spend criticizing and throwing s*** everywhere and they don't know s***, as well as others who know and throw s*** at you holy troublemaker ,,,,, do yourself a favor and let them talk until they get tired, I understand your anger, but you shouldn't expose it here it doesn't add anything to you, .. your mods are great they don't need 10 or 20 mods which add up hundreds of bugs to the game to make it work, you are the holy grail among modders, you are very good I encourage you to continue your excellent work, there are many that we esteem you, I also tell you that certain opinions that you gave of the modders in In general, I would say that you leave that aside so as not to harm yourself, you are capable of making quality mods like few people do! up that spirit bro keep going greetings and take care !"!! ahh the discord link doesn't work for me it tells me that it's expired haha ??let's see if you can fix that haha google translate :)
pdata: yesterday I arrived just to download your mod that fixed the bug of the merchant and his gold hahaha
This mods is compatible with Simple Block Sparks ? Since your mod just add bounce and Simple Block Sparks just spark when blocking attack edit: YES But need a patch for this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/61478?tab=posts And thanks for this great mod
Hey there, it seems like consistently my weapon is bouncing off a npc during their staggering animation. I think this may be a conflict with the "Distance based combat mod" perhaps there's weird persisting hitboxes on some of their added animations (the guy I'm testing on is dual wielding so maybe it's a duel wielding animation issue.)
Could also be a ADXP issue as well I just started using that too.
EDIT: it's not just duel wielding it's persistent with all the npcs, including myself.
