Bra is from DX Ursine Armor Pack (modified to have both sides). Skirt is from vanilla robes. Harness and pauldrons are from The Amazing World of Bikini Armor ;)
Years ago there was a mod author (no longer on the nexus and his/her mods are completely missing) that created a crafting mod that allowed you to craft ANY of the guard armors in the game including Stormcloak and Imperial and EVERY province guard armor too, which included gloves, shields, fur boots and the main armor. It also included the rare Winterhold Guard Armor. The shields remind me of that mod because they are nearly identical.
I saved the mod and use it in my play throughs, I'm pretty sure the shield meshes would work from this mod to the other. Thank you Cthorthu, endorsed!
Second recommendation: Frostkeeper It is not a replacer, but you can do it yourself (easily): 1. Instal Frostkeeper, and disable Frostkeeper plugin (don't need to have the plugin activated in your load order) 2. Go to game folder. Open folder Data\Meshes\Armor\crshield 3. Copy the file Crshield.nif 4. Paste this file in: Data\Meshes\armor\elven (If this folder doesn't exist, create it) 5. Rename pasted file to "elvenshield" (elvenshield.nif) Done! Elven shield is replaced.
thanks yes IPM is good and there are other thinner shield versions from various modders. To this date I have used an iron / Steel shield replacer which also changedthese shields to wood. But it has also some metal decoration that I guess is not really needed. ‘this mod here all in all is a bit more historical even. Funny thing is that the most realistic shield in vanilla is the hideshield apart from the center buckle that is a bit too large. Viking shield were mostly made from linden wood, and usually just a tightly stretched hide of sorts protected the wood from splintering to easily. So the only metal was the buckle in the center, the nails to keep the hide stretched across and In rarer cases a narrow metal rim (fairly similar to what you see in this MOD here.)
Thank you.. def more realistic than the vanilla shields. VAnilla full metal shields would weigh like 50lbs when (viking) shields were usually in the range of 20lbs to 30lbs. Endorsed.

For guard shields, you may like this simple mod:
Guard Shield Rim Reforged
;)
Have a nice day!
(I don't like it 100%...)
Maybe this?

Maybe more in future :P

(I thought the hide shield was unrealistic)
Endorsed.
