About this mod

Gives Scion a reversed progression system, where your strengths and weaknesses are at their max when fully fed but become less potent as you starve. Also removes the stage 4 hatred Scion puts back in.

I'm one of those who's never understood why vampires in TES become stronger as they starve themselves. I liked ESO's version of vampirism that came with Greymoor, where forgoing blood weakens your vampiric traits to the point you maintain only the most base of powers when starved. I decided to bring that logic to Scion.

Technically, the progression isn't entirely reversed. Powers still weigh heavily towards stage 1 as normal, but now the passives do as well. The progression of said passives now looks like this, from stage 1-4:

Undeath - You resist 50/25/10/0% of incoming weapon damage, but healing spells and potions are 75/50/25/0% less effective.

Unnatural Resistance - Your Vampiric blood grants you 100/75/50/25% Frost Resistance, and 100% Poison and Disease Resistance.

Weakness to Fire - Your Fire Resistance is reduced by 100/75/50/25%.

Weakness to Sunlight - You have 75/50/25/0 less Health, Magicka, and Stamina and you cannot regenerate Health, Magicka, or Stamina while standing in sunlight.

There's one exception to this psuedo-reversed progression, and that's Vampiric Drain. I can't figure out for the life of me how it works in Scion (all I know is that the upgraded drains that normally replace stage 1 drain are removed and instead the stage 1 drain gets a power multiplier depending on your stage), so for now it's still piss weak in stage 1 but fairly potent in stage 4. If I ever figure out how it works I'll update the mod to reverse the drain as well, and if anyone knows how it works do let me know.

I also removed stage 4 hated and feared, as it would be very weird to be hunted down when you're more mortal than vampire.

To do:

I'm considering tweaking sun weakness regen rates, but I'm not sure whether I want to do it in a 100/75/50/25% regeneration debuff or perhaps half it altogether like VaRT. I want it to be a thing even when starved, but I think stunting regeneration rates at all stages is a little excessive, tell me if you have any ideas.

I'm also looking into reapplying the "hated and feared" mechanic, but for stage 1, so when you're fully fed you'll be recognized as a vampire. I may take another page out of VaRT's book and add a timer after you feed, but instead of it being a health regen passive it will be a temporary immunity to the retribution of the locals, so you have time to get out of town or whatever after having a late night snack. Let me know what you think.

SimonMagus for his batch of mods I now cannot let go of. Seriously, SimonRim is incredible, it just makes sense (the Quiet Casting perk is now in the Sneak tree, why wasn't it always there?).

Bethesda, for releasing the game for the 10th time in as many years.
