Odd - found this from a recommendation on another mod page - wondered what it is - I don't run any AI mods (I find I usually prefer vanilla to some of the various author's ideas) but - I have never been offered a drink by a server in an inn - I have had the "Would you like to buy a lady a drink?" line, but I would die of thirst if I had to wait for an offer for one for myself - any idea why I wouldn't be hearing it (I would actually prefer to have more such chat etc in game)
It's a quest scene WITavernPlayerSits [SCEN:000DEE9E] belonging to WITavern [QUST:000DEE92]. Requires a tavern with a "server" (alive, of course). The vanilla servers are Frabbi, TalenJei, Narri, Lynly Star-Sung, Skuli, Saadia, Susanna the Wicked.
Oh, I hope this works. I have a mod that has you laying down in bed to sleep... only, the taverns interpret this as sitting down and send over a waitress to pester you.
To prevent that, ask the ussep dudes (or the sleep mod maker) to also add beds as excluded furniture to the WITavernPlayerScript of the WITavern [QUST:000DEE92] quest.
Question. Is this for the player only or does it include NPC's if using a mod like Nether's Follower Framework which allows you to set the MCM so your followers can order drinks in taverns? Just wondering if it will stop that function. Not a big deal if it does. I'll take the tradeoff.
Forgot all about this post. Been using and enjoying it. Came back to check for something similar in the way of a patch for Immersive Wenches since unfortunately this mod has no effect on them and man do they badger you.
Other than that between your mod, Tavern AI Fix, Immersive Wenches, with the mod SPID Maiden Outfits for Immersive Wenches (SFW version), and NFF's MCM allowing Followers to order drinks, I have a well functioning, well dressed group of Tavern servers across Skyrim.
Me: "Finally. 328 mods and a stable load order. Ready to play. No more mod installations." Jayserpa: "Nope." Me: "Okay, fine. *sigh* 329 mods. Happy now?" Jkrojmal: "Oh, hey! Got a few more new, must have, interior makeovers." Me: "Oh, for the love of Mara..." You: "Just totally fixed something that has bugged everyone since 2011." AAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!
Does this affect the innkeeper saying things like "Saadia, wake up dear!" or "Look alive, will ya?"? I've been using Bad Service but it kinda bugs me that the innkeepers still nag the servers :p
Had a look at that mod and they indeed have the same scope. The only differences are:
with this the waiter gets near the player in case he/she wishes to actually buy something;
this doesn't disable the scene -- that mod should actually prevent the innkeeper/server dialogue, odd it doesn't for you.
On a side note, if Bad Service had a name allowing to be found when searching for mods about taverns and inns, I most probably wouldn't have bothered making this :)
Welp, in that case, I think I'll still switch over to this, because having the server hovering near rather than completely ignoring you makes "Look alive!" make more sense.
Thanks for fixing yet another tiny-but-huge-for-some-of-us annoyance! You have an entire section in my Mod Organizer called "Tarlazo's Tweaks and Fixlets", btw lol xD

Thanks again.

This won't destabilize the load order, you might even simply copy the only form to any other plugin and delete the esp.
Seriously, thanks for this. Taverns are going to be a lot less annoying now.
