Currently looking for advice on how to create collision boundaries for inventory models. To be frank, my current inventory models are rubbish when it comes to dropping them on the ground. Most of the time they just flip over and disappear. So you finally get some nice armor for your horse, set it down for a second, and it clips right through the floor. How embarrassing *head shake of sadness*
3/30/2022 Hey, guys. Thank you so much for the bug reports. I am currently working on them but I still am unable to duplicate some of the issues (except vanilla start issue... that was definitely my bad). If you could all do me a huge favor and when you report a bug tell me if you're using SE or AE.
use the unlimited bookshelves patcher? I know it generates object bounds... one might be able to edit the script slightly to achieve the desired effect...?
Found a trick to use this with convenient Horses!!! This won't be the most immersive, but it'll work until someone more competent than me make a "patch".
So you need to: -craft/buy your desired saddle, enter the console command, type: help "*full saddle name*" to get the item id -select your horse in the console, type : equipitem *said item id* -then type player.remove item *item id* (nb of duplicates)
its the least immersion breaking i found since you still need to craft/buy
However, I encountered two small visual problems in my game: - Some horses have what seems to be a patch of vanilla horse mane sticking out of their forehead - Shadowmere has its vanilla red eye glow things hovering on both sides of its head
Has anyone else run into these two issues? I'm pretty sure I installed all required mods in the right order.
EDIT: so apparently the mane issue is related to AE - for anyone else who wants to get rid of it, here you go, just found this: Horse Mane Clipping Fix
So, I am using Immersive horses with SC Horses and this mod, Equestrian. I have all the mods in the correct load order, but I have noticed that all vanilla buyable horses are using the immersive horses body models and textures, and yet the carriage horses are showing up as the SC horses like what was intended. Can I just delete immersive horses textures from the file tree so that only the SC horses textures and meshes take the full priority? or is there any other fix out there?
-Sry for my bad english, i try to keep it simple, so if it can help:
In my case using wrye bash, i noticed immersive horse plugin has the default outfit tagged, so this tag has to be unchecked/ removed to not import the default outfit from immersive horse. Thus, the default outfit from the Equestrian-Imm Horses - patch.esp is not overwritten. For people who don't use a bash patch in their game, it's the same idea, you need to find what in your load order is overwritting the changes made by Equestrian-Imm Horses - patch.esp and rearrange your load order to make it wins. Load your whole load order in ssedit, everything checked, wait ssedit finish the process, go to the Equestrian-Imm Horses - patch, expand it and there you can see what mod is overwritting the changes made by the patch.
This is the best visual horse on the market - obviously for the specific (out Nexus) horse mod. Now... you can find better (much better) horses' animations.
The BEST horses' animations are in this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18605
It's a fantastic mod, but I don't really like the horse model (too much thin) and especially the textures (very average quality)... So, what you should do (I did):
1) Install SC Horses (from out Nexus). 2) Install this mod here, to make your horses looking perfect. 3) Then, go to that other mod, download it MANUALLY and open the zip file. Delete everything except the Meshes files... You're not done yet. In the Meshes, there are also the horses skeleton (you don't need it), the sandles (also don't need them) etc, so BE CAREFUL and keep (from Meshes) only the animations meshes - that's the only thing you need! 4) Pack these meshes as a new "mod" and install it. Now, you'll have the SC Horses... this visual mod here... AND those great horses animations!
The animations are looking great to SC Horses too, because SC Horses also using a thinner (than vanilla) horse model - but not too thin like that other mod. So, those animations looking just fine to SC Horses, I just did a test (you can spawn a horse nerby you... open console via "~" key... type: player.placeAtMe (the horse ID) 1... and a horse will appear next to you. Leave it, check his iddle animations... and ride it to check the rest animations).
Btw... To those they're starting a NEW game: DO NOT install any mod BEFORE you exit the Helgen's cave! The vanilla game's intro is extremelly full of bugs, so especially for the horses (the cart in the intro) do not install anything before finish everything and exit the Helgen's cave!!! Basically... that's the perfect spot to have a "clean save"... and then start modding your game and loading that "clean save" and checking/testing your build. Of course, you'll have your previous created character, you won't be able to change character's race/look - but next, you'll need mod to do it, if you want.
currently at a loss bc of something that I'm 99% sure is not this mod's fault, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas on how to fix the problem that I'm having; when my horse is running there seems to be an issue with the skeleton or something where the left hip pops or dips in so the horse has like a dent in their side?? It's not happening when walking or sprinting and I've unequipped the saddles but nothing's helped I've spent hours looking through files to see if I can find any issues (unfortunately tho I'm not an expert) but I can't find anything D:
I had a similar problem, but I reinstalled SC - Horses and horses' tails and manes have pretty textures now. You need both archives, but let SSE version overwrite the other (or just delete .esp from non -SSE archive; I personally did it this way bc for some reason Vortex did not see the conflict). Then install / reinstall Equestrian mod and let it overwrite every conflict. Hope this helps.
Everything works...great, for me, except I can't figure out how to actually buy the horses like Smoke. When I talk to the horse guy he'll say they're all spoken for and there's no, like, 'horse deed' in his shop inventory. I'm at a loss.
Seems like USSEP and maybe JK's are interfering with some horses "reverting" the horses to vanilla. or possibly rather replacing vanilla horses with a USEEP horse. idk tbh as vortex don't detect any conflicts. yet, informative console says the last change was made by typically USSEP and sometimes JK's. though I imagine JK's probably added the entire horse into the world rather than changing an existing horse. could be something similar with USSEP. maybe they removed the vanilla horse and added back a new USSEP horse. this is only speculation tho. anyone have any theories?
Tried to disable all my mods. it's definitely JK's. they add more horses, so all the vanilla horses work as intended most likely. but any horse added into the world by another mod will be vanilla/vanilla based. in Whiterun, there is a horse called "Queen Alfsigr". this horse seems to be vanilla, but SC horses don't touch it for some reason. Having trouble rn figuring out its origins. Based on my finds so far, SC Horses change vanilla horses, so it is a bit weird this one specific horse doesn't work. unless it's added by USSEP or another mod. With the Interactive console mod, it says Ref last changed by useep, so could be they added Queen Alfsigr.
I use this mod and its requirements with Immersive Horses but even with the patches you have here most of the horses is purple (missing textures) the only horses that looks like they should is the vanilla ones from CC Wild horses even the carriage horses are purple.

Of course it won't. That scene will break if you so much as breathe wrong near it. Great job Bethesda!
