Version 2.4.0
- MINOR VERSION CHANGES
Permissions ===============================================
I've updated the permissions. They are basically the same; however, they now allow users to upload derivative works (e.g., patches, bug fixes, new features, feature expansions, etc.) without permission as long as credit is provided with a link back to Wet & Cold. However, with this I've also added that we retain the right to "incorporate" any derivative works back into Wet & Cold.
What this does is two fold:
1) It allows users to upload fixes and patches when the authors aren't around and aren't planning any work.
2) It allows users to utilize Wet & Cold assets in other mods and even other games (Fallout maybe?).
Both can be done without permission; however, users do so with the fact that their work may be incorporated into Wet & Cold whenever one of the authors return. Top candidates for such incorporation would be mods that provide bug fixes, expand current functionality, and/or patches. Of course, a Lannister always pays his debts ...with credit and possible reward.
Gear ======================================================
- Added missing clothing keywords to all gear.
- Added keywords for CC Survival Mode warmth feature to all gear.
--- Cold: most rain gear, face covers, and knapsacks
--- Warm: most cold gear
Scripts ===================================================
- Removed Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade support for the time being. I've removed the sections from the scripts so it will not even check for the mod.
- Incorporated IDontEvenKnow's fix for game freezes for setups that are particularly script heavy. Credit to him for that work! As such, I've marked all the Bug Reports regarding freezes as "fixed" with this release. Users can make new Reports for any freeze related issues with v2.4.0 and up. As always, be sure to provide as much detail as possible or risk your Report simply being deleted due to lack of information to reproduce results.
Weathers ==================================================
I've taken the three ash fall weathers and customized them further in an attempt to bring out more depth and variety. The goal was to create weathers that are desaturated as a result of the ash fall.
The first thing updated was the ash precipitation for all three weathers (Light, Medium, and Heavy Ash Fall). The Light Ash Fall weather now has a custom precipitation for more variety rather than using the vanilla precipitation. Each of the weathers have had particle size increased to create heavier ash vs vanilla's ash weather. The weight of the particles has been adjusted to create an "ambiance" of light-weight ash falling.
Using vanilla's one light ash fall weather, Cathedral Weathers and Seasons color palette was used as a base, and the following changes were made to each of the records:
- light, but still visible clouds at night
- clouds that darken slightly the heavier the ash fall is
- sky statics that darken slightly the heavier the ash fall is
- custom fog colors that more closely match the default ash color and updated distances to utilize the fog as an aid to the ash fall ambiance
- blended sky colors and horizon seam for new fog color
- greatly reduced wind speeds and customized them per weather
- increased the particle size per weather
I've increased the chances of all ash weathers for "WeatherVolcanicAsh01" region:
- All none-precipitation ash weathers have a 20% chance of occurring
- Both Light Ash Fall weathers (vanilla and W&C) have a 50% chance of occurring
- Medium Ash Fall has a 30% chance of occurring
- Heavy Ash Fall has a 25% chance of occurring
I've increased the chances of all ash weathers for "WeatherRavenRock01" region, as well.
This is the Raven Rock town weather that is really a sub-region of WeatherVolcanicAsh01 (above). It exists to remove the precipitation from the town, which makes no sense. However, since there is no precipitation for vanilla, I've kept the chances of it happening low. The rest of the records I've matched the values to Cathedral Weathers:
- All none-precipitation ash weathers match Cathedral Weathers (2x vanilla values)
- Added vanilla's participation record with a 20% chance of occurring
- Light Ash Fall also has a 20% chance of occurring
- Medium Ash Fall has a 10% chance of occurring
- Heavy Ash Fall has a 5% chance of occurring

Version 2.3.0
- MINOR VERSION CHANGES
General ===================================================
This version adds support for 'Beyond Skyrim - Bruma', which adds the effects and equipment from Wet and Cold to the NPCs in Bruma, if installed. A shout out to AndrealphusVIII who put the work in via 'Beyond Skyrim - Bruma - Tweaks Enhancements and Patches SSE'. Since they're no longer maintaining that patch and since no one should be providing alternative versions of the '_wetquestscript', I've simply copied the edits from their scripts into the W&C scripts.
Also new in this version are additional exclusions to the breath effects. This was accomplished in two ways. First is a formlist that holds all the races that shouldn't receive the effects. Second, NPCs are now excluded automatically from the effects if they have the "ActorTypeUndead" or "ActorTypeGhost" keywords. Both of these methods are included because not all NPCs that should be excluded from the effects have the right keywords or are a member of one of the excluded races. This method accounts for both situations, thus, scooping up more NPCs by default that shouldn't have the effects applied (this should cover 99% of undead NPCs). Currently, the formlist includes:
- All draugr races
- All skeleton races
- All vampire races
- All dragon priests
- All Death Hounds
- 'ManakinRace' (mannequins): included for mods that add mannequins to exteriors
Hot Fixes =================================================
- Added missing 'Nord Vampire' race to all knapsacks to fix them being invisible when equipped.
- Prevented mannequins from equipping gear (for mods that add mannequins to exteriors). This is untested.
- Prevented the Soggy Feet sounds from being applied in the rain if the actor has the Muffled Movement perk. Applies to player and NPCs.

Version 2.2.4
- HOTFIX VERSION CHANGES
General ===================================================
Attempted fix for Strong Winds:
This issue is with Faralda during her scene in the 'First Lessons' quest. Strong Winds can cause the scene to not complete correctly during blizzards. I've attempted to fix this by adding a condition for the effect to not be applied as long as the the 'First Lessons' quest is active. Therefore, it is recommended users complete this quest once started. Starting the quest and leaving it unfinished will prevent Strong Winds from being applied for as long as it remains unfinished; essentially nurfing the feature.
Attempted fix for Go Home:
This issues is with NPCs returning home while they're suppose to be in scenes. I tried fixing this with new conditions checking for scenes (IsScenePackageRunning & IsInScene), however, they didn't work so they my not be used by the game. I'm going to leave IsInScene in for now as it may help if weather starts while a scene is already playing (haven't been able to test this yet). This issue may take actual scripting to fix properly. For now, I've added "Uthgerd the Unbroken" and "Idolaf Battle-Born" to the ignore list. This fixes their scenes in Whiterun, but they may be seen wondering out in the rain for the time being.
Textures ==================================================
- The following files have been processed through AI to doubled their resolution and increase texture detail. They were then re-saved using BC7 compression:
--- ashes/chitin_goggles.dds (512x to 1K)
--- ashes/chitin_goggles_dark.dds (512x to 1K)
--- ashes/goggles.dds (512x to 1K)
--- ashes/goggles_black.dds (512x to 1K)
--- ashes/goggles_bronze.dds (512x to 1K)
--- soggyfeet_spray.dds (128x256 to 256x512)
--- waterdrops.dds (128x64 to 256x128)

Version 2.2.3
- HOTFIX VERSION CHANGES
General ===================================================
- Updated the '_wetquestscript' to fix incorrect plugin names. This should fix the the scripts not detecting these mods. Any users having issues with specific mods (especially Frostfall) should re-test with this hotfix and update your Bug Reports accordingly.

Version 2.2.2
- v2.2.2 - HOTFIX CHANGELOG
General ============================================
- Removed some Bug Reports to which no replies were received.
- Updated the status to several Bug Reports due to this release.
- Dropped the "Alpha" from the versioning.
- Until the mod hits is more functional, I'm going to be providing the mod in a loose files format. This is so I don't have to rebuild the archives for every single minor or hotfix release between now and then.
Meshes ============================================
- All meshes included in the mod have been ran through NIF Optimizer. This includes the children's hats optional. Please report any issues with new meshes.
Installers ============================================
- Optimized some coding.
- Updated the wording for the Children Hats optional to be more clear on who should and shouldn't install it. Users who DO have a child overhaul installed that ***alters the children's head shapes*** SHOULD install this optional. If any issues arise with the hats not fitting correctly with a specific overhaul, try it without this optional installed. If issues persist, please submit a bug report. If the overhaul doesn't alter the children's heads (vanilla), then users skip this optional.

===== BUG FIXES ============================================
- Added 'NordRaceVampire' to the leather backpacks to fix invisibility. (thanks avariel002 & Elizinator)
- Added the following NPCs to the ignore list for the "Go Home" feature. This should fix the issues with their quests. I have an idea for an additional solution for this, which is to check if a specific quest is active or not and disable Go Home during the active quest for that NPC, rather than having them permanently disabled from the feature:
--- All courier NPCs (10 in total, thanks AlphaLeo)
--- Gulum-Ei (thanks alcardian1)
--- For the record, Eltrys and Faralda were already a part of this list.
I also tested several other bug reports and couldn't reproduce them. I left comments on some, so please reply. I'll remove the reports after a couple weeks if no replies are posted.

- v2.2.0A - MINOR CHANGELOG

Version 2.1.X
- The following changes occurred between v2.1 and v2.1.5:
- Ashes addon is now merged into the main plugin.
- Snowy shader should no longer affect weapons unless exiting water in a cold region.
- All effects (breaths, drips, etc.) are now more visible to fit the new lighting.
- SKSE-dependent features are disabled until further notice. Configuration of this mod is now done through a power "Options: Wet and Cold". Equip the power and press Shout to configure.
- Equipment meshes have been fixed by ousnius. You can add all gear (cloaks, face covers, goggles, hoods, etc.) to leveled lists in the configuration menu. NPCs will not be seen equipped with them until SKSE is released.
- Decreased visibility of the snowy shader.
- Fixed missing ash particles during ash weather.
- Fixed an issue where uninstalling this mod could result in corrupted saves. Thanks insaneplumber!
- All relevant equipment should now be compatible with Frostfall.
- Fixed missing ash particles during ash weather again.
- Fixed an issue where uninstalling this mod could result in corrupted saves again.
- Optimized menu system, which should help those who were unable to open it using the shout power.
- Reduced the visibility of breaths from NPCs talking.
- All equipment except for hoods and cloaks can now be found worn by NPCs depending on the environment.
- Cold Gear: All NPCs except beggars and followers may equip gloves and face covers in cold regions. The equip chance of the face covers depends on the time of day, weather conditions and if the NPC is a traveler. Due to their incredible resistance to the cold, Nords are more likely to equip their Cold Gear at night.
- Ash/Survival Gear: All NPCs except followers may equip backpacks while traveling outside of settlements. They will also equip face covers and will sometimes equip goggles during ash storms on Solstheim.
- Snowy: The effect that appears when it's snowing must now be enabled in the menu. The effect that appears after swimming in a cold region is always enabled.
- Some NPCs are now excluded from the Go Home feature to avoid scene interruptions. If there are more, please file a bug report with the NPC's name.
