  • Mod uses Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) to distribute and equip dog backpacks from Dog Backpacks and More to non-companionable dogs 
  • Backpacks use (dog) body slots 35, 45, 47, 48, 57 and / or 60. See below

Requirements
Overview
My mod utilizes small scripts that runs once (at game initialization) to distribute and equip dog backpacks to non-companionable dogs. Mod is currently configured to distribute and equip a random distribution of items to all six (6) body slots. 

  • Slot 35: randomly receive one (1) collar (brown, black, red, Celtic, leather crosses, chain) or one (1) necklace (gold: ruby, diamond, amethyst; silver: emerald, sapphire, garnet)
  • Slot 45: randomly receive a neck barrel or neck lantern
  • Slot 47: randomly receive one (1) knapsack, black leather bag, harness, barrel, rucksack, satchel, dwarven bag, or 'burden'
  • Slot 48: randomly receive one (1) dagger (steel, dwarven, Nordic, dragonbone) or lantern
  • Slot 57: randomly receive one (1) shield (steel, dwarven, Nordic, dragonplate), scrolls, books, barrel, or chest
  • Slot 60: randomly receive one (1) sword (steel, dwarven, Nordic, dragonbone), scrolls, books, barrel, or chest

Mod can be re-configured to randomly distribute items to any combination of body slots (i.e., 1-6)! In other words, you can configure the mod to distribute items to just one slot, two slots, three, four, five, or all six slots (default combination). You decide. Simply add a semi-colon in front of the spell you do not want distributing items. For example, open up the _DISTRI.ini file included in this mod, and add / type a semi-colon in front of the spell you do not want to distribute items:

Compatibility
Highly compatible with most setups, and with most other mods. 
  • Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) does not edit levelled lists, and does not modify or generate new records. 
  • Body slots, however, are not compatible. Choose wisely, or edit the body slot. I will not alter body slots.
  • Clipping will likely occur depending on setup. I will not resolve clipping issues.

Installation and Uninstallation
Use the mod manager of your choice to install. Or manually. To uninstall, remove with mod manager. My understanding is that SPID will not impact save games in any way. Safe to uninstall at anytime. 

Configuration
Huge number of configuration options available in the _DISTRI.ini. Some knowledge of Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) is useful to achieve desired results.

  • Fully standalone. The very generous permissions from elr0y7 made this mod possible. Be sure to thank elr0y7 and endorse Dog Backpacks and More 
  • Images in this mod are for illustration purposes only
  • Items distributed and equipped to non-companionable dogs
