For those using Museum safehouse (Legacy of the Dragonborn mod) this does not work for 90% of the containers, and specially things like the sorting chest. However for those interested in the mod it save a lot of time moving lots of stuff around. I've used for around 150 hours in game. Interface takes some getting used to be once you realise how to use it is easy...
If there was ever a chance the author could make it work with LotD Safe house (Common mod these days) that would be awesome...
As I wrote before, this works only for CONTAINERS not for pseudo containers of type ACTI.
In the safehouse there are mostly activators, so unfortunately this mod won't work for them. Apart from that... aren't the weapons / armor etc storage sorting themselves?
What exactly were you trying to do that didn't work?
I suppose it's the amount of stuff I'm new to the Safe House so I had a lot of stuff to sort... But just trying to drop off all soul gems into the sorting chest or soul gem container didn't work had to go to the misc column and deposit manually... Card 100 clicks to deposit the lot into the box... Maybe over time I'll be turning up with less stuff and therefore it won't seem such a chore... Thanks for the quick response...
OK, what you need to do: Either get the sorting spell (available in the MCM for LOTD) or just click on the sorting chest which says something like "sort my stuff".
The big sorting chest is for misc items the normal sorter doesn't handle. I'd recommend you use SkyUI AIO Survival, which has a few extra shortcuts to put all stuff in a container. Put ONLY things from the MISC section in the big sorting chest, because all other stuff is auto sorted. To sort some of the misc items and silverware etc you should use the household planner in the master bedroom.
I wanted this mod to work for me, but when I cast the spell, it will not go to the configuration screen when I hit "E". I figured that maybe it conflicted with some of my other mods. I don't know. So, I uninstalled it, thinking I would give it a try some other time.
A day later, and I noticed that I was missing half of septims! I tracked it down by loading from my many saves. Save number 184, just before installing this mod, I had 328,104 septims. I also had the same amount of cash in the next Auto Save. On save number 185 (the first one with this mod installed) I had 164,101 septims. That is 164,003 septims gone!
Just coincidence? I don't know. But there was nothing else that I can even conceive of that would have done this.
I can just run a console command to add the money back to my player, but what is up with this!?
I have used this mod for years, and when I got the permission from the original author to post it, I did. There are no scripts in it that can remove your money. Unless you selected "store all" and then it should be in the container you used "E" on.
Please remember: Container Magic will work on any normal container, but will not work with pseudo-containers of the ACTI (activator) kind.
