    i don't mean to sound rude, but as an immersion scientist, moonstone is in fact, whiteish in color. i feel brightening and desaturating the metal would've been a more L O R E F R I E N D L Y solution.

As an "immersion scientist" you might want to do a bit more study before making a comment

i'm fairly certain moonstone in TES is not based on the real world material, but i'd be interested to see otherwise.

Immersion scientist, pretty prestigious. I've heard there's good money to be made in that field.

The ayleid ruins in Oblivion are made of Moonstone and this does have a similar dull silvery color. It seems pretty lore friendly to me. It should look like White gold and it does.

Using the uncompressed version and I am quite happy with how it picks up the surrounding light.

What alston1of1 said is correct. for anyone having trouble the name of the .bsa needs to match the name of the ESP exactly. @nerad137 a reupload of the corrected name would be much appreciated ^_^.

The retexture looks amazing, but when installed doesn't actually apply the textures to either of the armor sets or the weapons. I don't have any mods installed that could possibly be conflicting other than LeanWolf's Better Shaped Weapons, and that is supposed to be compatible with retextures, and Improved Closefaced Helmets, but even that is unlikely

love the texture definitely felt it was weird that the armor had this yellowish color. since im using elven armor replacer it was not affected by the mod i had to use BAE to unpack the BSA and archive the files with the ESP now it works on the replacer as well. thanks for the mod!!!

I'm having the same issue as AdriensAlibi. Dropped the armor no change. Manually reinstalled .bsa no change. The only armor retexture I have is Ebony Armor Reshape. Will wait a while and see if it kicks in. Thanks

Got it to work, looks awesome! I simply had to rename the .bsa the same as the .esp file/ it should be MoonstoneRetex.bsa in order for the texture to show.

Hello, friend! I would love to use your mod but it doesn't seem to do anything at all for me - nothing was retextured. Any ideas? Have a good day.

This mod seem to interfere with "Ars Metallica - Smithing Enhancement". I suppresses the evlen arrows from the smithing options.

Load order didn't seem to make a difference.

I've been waiting for this kind of redux for moonstone for a long time. Thank you for making this.

So I added the mod to my game via NMM and for some reason the only items that appear changed are the weapon, ore, and ingot textures. Since I was primarily interested in the armor retex, this makes me sad. Could it be my load order? I sorted with LOOT.

Do a check by dropping the armor on the ground. Also, look at the in inventory model. If either one is rextexed and the on body model isn't, that is a problem.

Also, make sure there aren't any mods that alter any of the .nif model files for elven or glass armor. That can cause incompatibility.

Also, make sure the .bsa archive landed correctly in the data directory and isn't corrupted somehow.

That's all I can think of for now.

Another thing that might cause the armor not to show is if you are using a custom race (anything that is not one of the vanilla playable races).

Some Oldrim mods such as Spears by Soolie use an identical looking custom race as a quick and dirty method of doing special stuff. Check your load order for any of those mods.

      Hope this helps.

I haven't tried dropping the armor yet, but I have Inigo wearing an Elven helmet and it's the same ugly brassy color. And all of the Thalmor I've seen are wearing the ugly armor. I'll try your other suggestions too.

I don't have any mods that should do much of anything to those armors. Honestly I think they should be untouched. No new races.

Thanks for the reply. I'll add another if I figure anything new out.

I'm not sure what did it, but suddenly it works. Thanks again; the new textures look great.

This looks like a well-thought out and very nicely implemented re-texture. You mention that you don't edit the glass portions of the items. Will this work with a mod that does edit those portions, or will need to be patched? Either way, I plan to try it out and see how it looks in-game. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this mod and for sharing it with us.

Some glass weapons use different texture files for the handle and the blade, and others appear as if they were rushed and don't. Blame Bethesda. It would have to be patched.

Thanks for the reply. In your screenshots, are you using a different glass texture or just vanilla? Sorry if that seems a silly question, but I've spent so much time using alternate textures, it's hard to remember exactly how the vanilla textures look.

I am not using a glass retex. I DID eliminate the shoddy partial transparency from the glass part of the glass armor as part of my mod. It was necessary to be able to recolor the male cuirass, so that might look slightly different.
