Detailed NPCs is my suite of mods that equips various items to NPCs relevant to their roles (e.g., guards, mercenaries, farmers, etc.). As a result, Detailed NPCs enhances storytelling through small visual cues that provide insights (even clues!) to all the wonderful (and not so wonderful!) NPCs in game. Many of my mods can be used together to create layers of meaning.

A couple of recommendations for this one:

    1. A high quality texture replacer for skeletons will make this mod pop. Something like Bloody Skeleton or Remiros' Skeletons HD will do the trick.
    2. Suggest you edit the _DISTR.ini to limit NPCs by level (e.g., limit to level 15 NPCs) and by %-chance of receiving a mask (e.g., 25%). I would have made these edits, but then people would tell me that the mod doesn't work, etc.

    Have fun!

hi great mod does anyone know how i can change the ini to make it so that only necromancers where the masks and not the bandits?

Yes, adding a semicolon (;) in front of the necromancer lines will disable them (in the .ini)

I've run into a bit of weirdness with this mod. When I trigger the one handed sword's decapitation perk on an NPC wearing one of the mod's skull masks, the head goes flying, but the mask doesn't move relative to the body, hovering in place. Is there a way to make it so the mask stays attached to the head, or falls off like how corpses drop their weapons?

Pretty cool mod! Though I do feel like there was a missed opportunity with it having it on the Forsworn initially. Otherwise, works perfectly well.

The 6.3.0 version is not working on my end.

My v 6.3.0 is working as intended.
Double-check your SPID version and make sure you have downloaded my recent version.

The masks show up on NPCs but when I equip one, it's invisible, Anyone have any idea why that might be?

Thanks for the update for SPID 6.3.0, I'll try it out. But the INI file has a new file name now, was that a typo, or is it by design?

This is great - just like your other SPID mods! They really add character to random NPCs.

Does anyone know if there are upscaled textures for these masks? In my game they look very low res, or is it just me?

Super neat mod for sure! Any possibility to get an installer so we can pick if we want bandits to use the skull masks or not?
