Requirements
Overview
My mod utilizes a small script that runs once (at game initialization) to distribute and equip one (1) random mask to Necromancer and Bandit NPCs.

I have pruned the original mod. My mod distributes the Argonian, Elf, Falmer, Khajiit, Nord, Orc, Troll skull masks to:

  • Necromancers (ALL: novice, apprentice, adept, mage, ascendant, master, arch)
  • Necromancer Bosses (ALL: apprentice, adept, mage, ascendant, master)
  • Wolfskull Cave Necromancers (listed beneath 'Necromancer Bosses'; The Ritual Master is not included in this distribution)
  • Seven (7) named Necromancer NPCs - See Article (possible spoilers)
  • Bandits (ALL types)

My thinking is that Necromancers will have a few dead bodies around. And, I like Raiders from Fo4. Now, Bandits and bandit factions can have a kind of 'raideresque' feel to them.

Mod can be re-configured to distribute masks to any NPC and / or any group of NPCs that you wish (e.g., ActorTypeNPC)! Random distribution will always be based on seven (7) masks no matter how distribution is configured (e.g., female, male, level, faction, voicetype, etc.). 

Compatibility
Highly compatible with most setups, and with most other mods. 
  • Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) does not edit levelled lists, and does not modify or generate new records. 
  • Body slots, however, are not compatible. Choose wisely, or edit the body slot. I will not alter body slots.
  • Clipping will likely occur depending on setup. I will not resolve clipping issues.

Installation and Uninstallation
Use the mod manager of your choice to install. Or manually. To uninstall, remove with mod manager. My understanding is that SPID will not impact save games in any way. Safe to uninstall at anytime. 

Configuration
Huge number of configuration options available in the _DISTR.ini. Some knowledge of Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) is useful to achieve desired results. 

Caveats, Recommendations, and Extensions
  • Fully standalone. Does not require the original mod. The very generous permissions by PrometheusTS and ARYANtheAG have made this possible. 
  • Images in this mod are for illustration purposes only. Your NPCs will receive a random mask.
