Not sure what I've done wrong, but I can't seem to get this to work. I only have 3 mods, which are just the SKSE and address library. I've tried verifying integrity. I have the regular Shrouded Gloves, and I added another using console too but it doesn't show up in the Enchanter's Table. edit. Fixed. The problem was SKSE Engine fixes, specifically the part that changes Achievements to be enabled with mods. I changed EnableAchievementsWithMods from true to false. I think it conflicts with the Ordinator mod or Summermyst because once they are installed , even if Learn Backstab is last in order , you cant learn the enchantment :(
Recommended mods for users of this one: Dark Brotherhood Enchantments Improved and Archet's Dark Brotherhood - Shrouded Armor and Robe. Disclaimer: I don't think this mod will allow you to learn the new enchantment placed on the gloves from Dark Brotherhood Enchantments Improved, at least not without a patch. Edit: Someone mentioned this mod but it requires a patch to work with Dark Brotherhood Enchantments Improved, too.
It's not the same enchantment, enchantment on the shrouded gloves is very different to the enchantment you learn, the shrouded gloves effect backstab on all weapons, however the enchantment you learn only effects single handed weaponry. Looks like I'm stuck with the shitty brotherhood gear.
It should give the same enchantment that the shrouded gloves have. All I did was literally remove the "cannot disenchant" flag from that piece of gear.
I think Pain_Masta based their logic off of the weapon enchantment description stating "Backstab does double damage." The actual magic effect is restricted to one-handed weapons, if you take a look at it in SSEEdit. This mod isn't introducing a different enchantment effect.
I know it's a been a while but it's any sneak attack with a melee weapon. So, for example, a dagger with the assassin's blade perk = x15 bonus sneak damage. With this enchant that doubles to x30!
This mod is literally just removing a flag from one item. If you are getting CTD's, then it could be from another mod (I would guess a very large all-encompassing mod) or perhaps you have a messed up game file (verifying integrity of game cache could help).
