That mesh has animation properties, which some of them causes CTD while others are fine (I'll never understand BGS bugs..) it shouldn't be in the files at all, so just delete it.
Hi, Skurkbro! Both variants of Castle Volkihar HD mod have Better Dynamic Snow v2.11 in requirements. Thus, I should use BDS? Can I use your mod without BDS at all?
I believe it skipped assigning parallax ro these meshes due to cubemaps or environmental maps being used on those meshes. Can only have one or the other. Not sure why volkihar is like that.
Been poking around in nifskope now for a while, and figured something out. If you change the shadertype from Enviromental > Parallax it works. Like you said. I wonder what the compromise is.
I think that's when some color is added to one side of the face of a mesh, and faded across, like green to give the impression of oldness or just water damage. Majestic Mountains uses this extensively, if I understand right, which is why they look so varied and interesting compared with other mountains. I've seen it occasionally in architecture meshes, like in Solitude some of the walls, but nothing that I would miss if the parallax looks great. And textures can often have those kinds of colors added right on the color map, though it may look odd sometimes, or tile weird if used carelessly.
One thing to note, this overwrites quite a few of the exclusive meshes that Castle Volkihar HD ships with. You may wish to include an exclusive version of this for that mod which includes those meshes.

I think it uses custom texture pathing?
Also, did you use the vanilla meshes or the USSEP meshes for meshes I didn't include?
