Are formID's different for VR Skyrim ?

A number of BOS mods seemingly are producing errors, but seems to be due to using Skyrim VR ?

    ie.

    [info] INI : Data\HLTDLC_SWAP.ini
    [info] reading [Forms]
    [info] 4 swaps found
[error] failed to process DLC1TreePineForestSnowHeavy01|TreePineForestSnow03|scale(1.0/1.3) [0|0|scale(1.0/1.3)] (formID not found)
[error] failed to process DLC1TreePineForestSnowHeavy02|TreePineForestSnow05|scale(1.0/1.3) [0|0|scale(1.0/1.3)] (formID not found)
[error] failed to process DLC2TreePineShortHeavySnow01|TreePineForestSnow03|scale(1.0/1.3) [0|0|scale(1.0/1.3)] (formID not found)
[error] failed to process DLC2TreePineShortHeavySnow|TreePineForestSnow05|scale(1.0/1.3) [0|0|scale(1.0/1.3)] (formID not found)

Are you using po3 tweaks? You cannot process editorids without it.

When I was, I still got the errors.

But I had other issues with the po3 tweaks which I posted in that forum..

      Thanks.

New game different approach with some mods.

      PO3 Tweaks in..

      LOG :

      [info] INI : Data\Destructible Skyrim_SWAP.ini
      [info] reading [Forms]
      [info] 33 swaps found

      No ERRORS from Log.

But I am finding that the swapping of meshes say from the mod Destructible Skyrim seems really erratic.
Some load in games they get swapped, most load in games they do not,...

      ;CandleLanternwithCandle01|CandleLanternwithCandle01ACT(destructible)0x2D847~Skyrim.esm|0x824~Destructible Skyrim.esp

The instruction above seems logical yet I just do not understand why it only 'sometimes might work'...

      [22:31:03:606] INI : Data\Blowing in the Wind Lite__extension_SWAP.ini
      [22:31:03:606] reading [Forms]
      [22:31:03:606] 1 swaps found
      [22:31:03:606] reading [References]
      [22:31:03:606] 40 swaps found

Come in to include this as well, its detecting and applying alright according to the log.

Visit Solitude and its lamps aren't often affected. Another game or revisit later same city in the same game session and they are affected this time.

Just doesn't always work, not sure what I am doing wrong ?

In case anyone else sees this and has a similar problem the issue was resolved for me by installing “powerofthree’s tweaks vr”. Initially I installed the non VR version not knowing there was a specific VR compatible one.

In the Script Extender Log, it says:

"Base Object Swapper version 1 (po3_BaseObjectSwapper.dll, Base Object Swapper VR) reported as incompatible during query."

and I cannot figure out how, for the life of me, I am supposed to fix this because it gives me NO further information on WHAT it is incompatible WITH.

I can't seem to work out what I've got wrong here but it doesn't appear to work for me when using a base object swap mod, like 'unique culture Falkreath' for instance. Are the mods listed in the 'mods requiring this file' the only BOS mods this will so far work with?

I downloaded PO3, the latest version and the version which says 'supports 1.5.9x and lower' (Isn't VR on 1.4 something?) Neither of them work. I've even installed the original BOS and then yours on top. Nothing. Is there something obvious that I just cant see?

How does merge compatibility work? I will still need to manually change the name of the target esp and verify the IDs in the distrubution inis right?

No. As long as you're using zmege, it should be automatic. You can check the logs to see if there are any missed items. Be aware the ini file may reference mods you don't have installed so those will obviously fail.

Our VR Lord and Savior strikes again!!! Seriously, thank you so much alandtse! Obvously the VR community has been waiting for someone like you to give us access to the many wonderful mods out there that is just out of our reach. I always wanted (and tried unsuccessfully) to learn to recompile dlls myself. But I barely have the time to play the game let alone modding. And if I did, my wife would probably leave me, lol.

Thank you for the zmerge compatibility, I learned the hard way it didn't work...it prevented me from swapping to swapper, I'll give it another try now!
