For those having the infinite loading screen issue, this is how I fixed it: Open up SSEEdit and find Modpocalypse NPCs Amber Guard. Expand "Non-Player Character (Actor)". SomerledCrookAntler is the culprit, select him. Scroll down to the "Packages (aligned)" heading, just below Perks. You'll find 2 entries that say 'error'. Right-click, remove. Say yes in the message box pop-up. Save and exit. Done. Hope that helps.
If you're also playing Requiem (like I am), either remove the same entries from the Requiem for the Indifferent column while you're at it, or just run the Reqtificator again when you're done.
Lifesaver! I've been sifting through my LO for the last 90 minutes. Narrowed it down to this replacer. Did fear I'd have to dump it. Thanks for the fix!
God, spent like the night finding it was from Amber Guard or one of its associated files (2500 modlist hell) 🤣 Thank you for pointing out the reason et the fix, made me save that much more time ✨
With the new version of amber guard, we encounter an unending loading screen issue when using this mod. I guess we'll have to wait for the updated version.
Fixed this myself by opening the modpocalypse ESP in SSEedit and dragging the Amber Guard NPC records over to modpocalypse. For some reasons NPC packages, etc don't match. Once you do this the game and mod loads fine.
Gonzeh is correct. This is easily fixable by opening in xEdit/SSEEdit and forwarding the changes Schlitzohr made to the Amber Guard mod. It seems Schlitzor is making major changes to some of their locations with new designs, NPCs, and quests. Should be awesome when they are done, but the downside is that these NPC replacers will need to be updated as new AI packages were built (more than likely to make the NPCs have more life to them like AI Overhaul and Immersive citizens) so some of the package FormIDs have changed and some packages don't exist at all. Unfortunately, though this can be fixed to work it also no longer covers all NPCs. Modpocalypse hasn't been active active since March, here or on Patreon, which is fine as life happens. Hopefully they will come back after awhile but it may be some time before we see an update. On a brighter note Modpocalypse has released a great beta version of their original vanilla NPC replacer that has been revamped and has KS Hair with physics for all NPCs and nothing is paywalled so it is free to grab from their Patreon.
in my opinion, doing so you copy also the whole headpart tint layer etc. This will revert the apperance oft the NPC back to original and that oviously works. But you can just as good disable the modpocalypse mod at that poin. Just my opinion.
Had this, too. It seems that when an AI package ref gets broken and is undefined this will trip up Skyrim to stall at the menu screen, showing the activity indicator forever.
