Well, to be honest, the giants have not really been inclined to invite outsiders to their cookouts, so I never got a good look at what they were cooking.
It's just a texture replacer. It's compatible with everything. If another mod covers the same textures, let the mod that you prefer overwrite the other.
Are you sure it's this mod? Both file versions are 1.0, and I downloaded on the same date it was released, with no update notification. Could you have accidentally clicked on one above or below the updated mod you wanted?
