Everyone of you that wants it without armor, simply use lazy tools, it really is amazing, the only thing that sucks about it is sound, when changing a heavy or light armored piece into cloth or vise versa it tends to keep the sound of armor, but this is a scarf so it shan't make a sound.
this is a nice addition for my assasin build and clothing since im all using light base armor and its really blend well for the katarina armor im using
I know this is a few months out in replying but just in case .... Am guessing it's the belt fastened quivers mod (I'm using that one and it's great - apart from some cloak clipping but hey ho)
This mod has some problems with NMM when I try to download it install fine but when it comes to "add" the mod to NMM i get an error message "Error registering this mod"
I'm making this as a separate post as the comment of yours I am replying to is from January and I'm not familiar with what this site uses for new post notifications.
It would be good to include a non-armor version as well for those of us playing mages. I'm not sure if any worn item with light/heavy armor properties interfere with the mage perks regarding armor or not, but for some of us there would be an RP aspect as well. In order to avoid cluttering the crafting menu, you can make them appearing in the list dependent on possessing a crafting manual or something. You could, if you wanted to, also have them build off from each other. So, you have to craft the non-armor version first, then with an added ingredient (optional... you could just have it want the base scarf only) you can make it into an armored version.
As for enchanting (and keeping compatibility with Frostfall), reading Frostfall's home page on making stuff compatible with it (found here: http://skyrimsurvival.com/home/frostfall/armor-compatibility/), it seems like it will only ignore items with the keyword ArmorJewelry or Circlet in the item name. Looking at the enchantment restrictions, it looks like they use the keywords ClothingNecklace, ClothingRing, and ClothingCirclet which should prevent interfering with the armor perks but still allow enchanting and for Frostfall to not ignore them.
As a side note from diving into all of this, two things that I noticed in your mod that I would change (but really don't hurt anything so purely up to you... this is just my 2 cents / suggestion): 1) Change the use of the keyword FrostfallIsCloakFur to FrostfallIsWarmAccessory (this may affect how worn items appear in Frostfall's MCM) 2) Change the use of body slot 56 to 45 (not sure if you are aware of this general suggested usage list: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Skyrim_bodyparts_number). From what I've seen, most cloak mods use slot 46, so this wont interfere. With the tight limit on slots, it just might be good to keep them where they'll only conflict with other potential neck worn items (other than necklaces). Unless, of course, you or some of your users have already found conflicts where you're wanting to keep the other item, though eventually something has to give way....
EDIT: Also, just noticed that the female version of the white Wolf Scarf is using the black textures instead of the white.
