This is great, but if you want to use both of SD's fence variants you need to alter the texture paths in the nifs. They use different textures (that don't match between the versions) but same paths. Examples:

v1 with v2 textures
v2 with v1 textures
v1 with v1 textures
v2 with v2 textures
And while Renthal's fences do work with vanilla textures (if you fix the paths), I'd say they definitely look better with the custom textures they ship with.
ah damn i totally forgot about that...i did the modifications years ago when i moved to SE an converted SOL - Fences. i will post a note on the main page!
Not sure why but the BOS logs say this conflicts with the swaps for Simple Snow Improvements? I really can't say I've noticed anything but I figured I'd check and see if anyone knows what the conflict is
The conflicts are self explanatory if you check the BOS log, but i can see if they are confusing to some. Example from the log itself:
0x06AB52~Skyrim.esm winning record : 0x91A09~Skyrim.esm (Data\Simple Snow Improvements - Skyrim_SWAP.ini) 1 conflicts 0x824~Fences Of Skyrim.esp (Data\Fences Of Skyrim_SWAP.ini)
0x06AB52 is the main record that is being changed by both mods. Winning record : 0x91A09 is the conflict winner and what's actually being applied to your game, which comes from SSI. In this case, since Fences of Skyrim changes the fence models (using Spice of Life), you want this mod's records to win and not Simple Snow Improvements, otherwise you might end up with inconsistencies.
Easiest way to do this is to go to Simple Snow Improvements - Skyrim and open its _SWAP.ini file. In there either comment out (by adding a ; to the beginning of the line) like in this image or simply by removing both ;FenceWoven01Snow and ;FenceWoven02Snow sections. Afterwards you shouldn't have those conflicts anymore and the swaps should be correctly applied.
Am I some kind of idiot or something? Copy which NIFs from which of the two mods and into where? Am I overwriting the NIFs I JUST copied from Spice of Life? I have no idea what I'm supposed to DO with SD's fences or Renthal's based on just this mod's description???

If choosing to use more than one SD Farmhouse variant, you must modify the texture paths in the meshes themselves. As Blackread wrote, this is because different assets are sharing the same filepath and same filename.

1. Basically, if you want to use both versions of SD's fences you need to double click on 'SD's Farmhouse Fences SE v1' mod in mo2 left pane and click open in explorer
2. You'll see Textures > Sdlutz Custom Fences > fences001.dds , fences001_n.dds , etc.
3. Right click on the page with the textures (fences001.dds , fences001_n.dds , etc) and create a new blank folder titled v1.
4. Highlight ALL the fences textures and right click Cut and Paste into the 'v1' folder
5. Now repeat steps 1-4 for 'SD's Farmhouse Fences SE v2' mod but name the subfolder 'v2' obviously
6. Now that you've set your texture paths load up Nifskope, click open in top left, and go to Fences of Skyrim and load the v1 mesh (in fence07 or whatever slot you put the Sd Fence v1 mesh)
7. In left pane click the 7 BSTriShape drop-down > 8 BSLightingShaderProperty > 9 BSShaderTextureSet
8. Now refer to the sticky post above in the last picture where the texture paths are circled in red
9. Double click the file path and insert your 'v1\' and click enter. Click the other numbered dropdowns and do the same thing until the mesh is fully textured then exit out and save/overwrite your nif file.
If anyone else didn't manage to do it just add v1 to the path, try inserting your whole file path, or browsing manually by clicking on the flower (it's quicker). I think this happens when mo2 isn't installed in the default location, maybe.
As a noob who just switched over to PC a couple months ago mannnn that was a pain. But it feels good when you figure it out

Hopefully this helps somebody bc I sat here for hours today messing with Nifskope and finally figured it out which is funny bc it's actually super easy if you know what you're doing lol
This very good. Very well done…. I just have a question… I don’t think it comes from this mod. Still, I just generated dyndolod again because I set a couple of new trees here and there. Now I noticed some really weird. From far of distance I think it’s lod3 , the wovenfence01.nif is missing the texture. In my case it’s just blue. LOD0 , lod1, lod2, seems okay, Though. I did not have this before. I am a bit puzzled. Looking at dyndo files, I saw that the lodwovenfence01 was generated.
My only gripe with fence mods is the lean on fence animation NPCs have always clips, wish there was some sorta fix for that (Possibly removing the animation outright).
