Detailed NPCs is my suite of mods that equips various items to NPCs relevant to their roles (e.g., guards, mercenaries, farmers, etc.). As a result, Detailed NPCs enhances storytelling through small visual cues that provide insights (even clues!) to all the wonderful (and not so wonderful!) NPCs in game. Many of my mods can be used together to create layers of meaning.
Version 1.1 places the String ID (ActorTypeNPC) in the correct syntax. Safe to update, but any personal _DISTRI.ini settings will be changed to the new settings.
Alternatively, changes in v1.1 can be achieved by manually editing the _DISTRI.ini.
Open the DISTR.ini. You should see this: Spell = 0xD63~SPIDFacialPiercingsforNPCs.esp|NONE|ActorTypeNPC|NONE|NONE|NONE|100
Add (type) -Hod to exclude Hod for example. -Gerdur will exclude Gerdur. It will look like this: Spell = 0xD63~SPIDFacialPiercingsforNPCs.esp|NONE|ActorTypeNPC,-Hod,-Gerdur|NONE|NONE|NONE|100
nothing about this mod is highly configurable because you took the easy way out and only made one spell, so that means you cant choose which npcs get which piercing's, its always random. L
This is my file so far, adds to some various races, disregards ruling government and vigilant factions for dark elves, redgaurds, adds to bandits, thieves guild (minus some of the higher ups)
Thanks, looks like I've an ESPFE version of Facial Piercings (with compacted IDs). No idea where I got it. The download of that has been plain ESP for years it looks like. Luckily, enough other mods have made the move to FE/ESL that there's plenty of plain plugin slots available now. Anyway, my fault. As I suspected.
Thanks for this and your other mods, they are amazing!
however, I dont see them showing up on NPCs in my game, I'm using high poly head if that might be affecting things.
Your other mods are working perfectly, I dont mean to complain, just hoping to get these things working and maybe help others do the same if anyone else if having similar issues. Let me know if u need or want more information.
I use HPH. 1. Be sure you have downloaded and installed the original mod (ticked boxes - left and right of MO2). 2. Double-check if you have something else using body slots 43 and 44. 2. Check your po3_SpellPerkItemDistributor.log to make sure SPID is distributing the piercings.

I referenced some other SPID mods, and they use something like this to distribute a spell to all NPCS
Spell = 0xd64~EarringsforNPCsBothEars.esp|ActorTypeNPC|NONE|NONE|NONE|NONE|NONE
I think the ActorTypeNPC filter was one slot too far over. It works great now, should be like a super quick fix.
