About this mod

Mine foremen will now sell ore and ingots to the Dragonborn

The Dragonborn is a legendary Smith twice over. She has hundreds of thousands of septims cluttering up her manor. The reason she doesn't have a second manor? A shortage of nails, iron fittings and locks. Could she craft more? Sure... if she could find some more ore.

I have plenty of mods that add more crafting materials to vendor lists, but still the shortage is enough to irritate me - especially if I don't want to fast travel all over the map every two days hoarding ore like some kind of frenzied packrat. I don't like the idea of simply getting more 'free' ore from mining. Besides, the Dragonborn is rolling in cash, she should be slaying mighty beasts, not grubbing in a cave for ore.

Yes, this is the original Mine Foreman Sell Ore mod, now for SE/AE, and in THREE tasty flavours for your enjoyment!

Flavour One: The Regular Version

This version has no other requirements, but is designed for people who use the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch. In this version Grogmar and Filnjar of Shor's Stone sell iron.

Flavour Two: Vanillatastic!

This version has no other requirements, and is designed for people who do not use the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch OR use a mod that reverses the changes to Shor's Stone. In this version, Grogmar and Filnjar of Shor's Stone sell ebony.

Flavour Three: Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade Version

This version requires the Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered. It is the same as the Regular Version, but Instead of a low chance of regular gems at the vendors, this mod adds a low chance of the rough version of gems, including the new gems added by CCOR.

What Exactly Do the Mine Foremen Sell?

 - A random amount of the ore available from their mine. Anywhere from 50-150 chunks, but usually around 100-120. Iron mines also sell a small amount of charcoal.

 - A random amount of ingots made from the local ore. Significantly less than the amount of ore, and the more valuable the ore, the less ingots are available. Iron mines also have a random chance to sell a small number of steel ingots.

 - A low chance of gems associated with their ore.
Gem-Ore associations are the same as Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered

Regular Version (Includes an extremely low chance of flawless gems):
  • Iron = Garnet
  • Corundum = Ruby, Sapphire
  • Silver = Amethyst,  Emerald
  • Orchialum = Sapphire
  • Gold = Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald
  • Quicksilver = Amethyst, Ruby
  • Moonstone = Amethyst, Emerald
  • Malachite = Garnet, Diamond
  • Ebony = Garnet, Diamond
    CCOR Version:
  • Iron = Rough Opal, Rough Onyx,Rough Garnet, Rough Peridot, Rough Aquamarine
  • Corundum = Rough Opal, Rough Onyx, Rough Ruby, Rough Sapphire
  • Silver = Rough Opal, Rough Amethyst, Rough Aquamarine, Rough Emerald
  • Orchialum = Onyx, Peridot, Aquamarine, Sapphire
  • Gold = Rough Garnet, Rough Amethyst, Rough Ruby, Rough Emerald
  • Quicksilver = Rough Opal, Rough Amethyst, Rough Aquamarine, Rough Ruby
  • Moonstone = Rough Opal, Rough Amethyst, Rough Emerald
  • Malachite = Rough Garnet, Rough Peridot, Rough Diamond
  • Ebony = Rough Garnet, Rough Peridot, Rough Diamond

 - A low chance of selling a random assortment of spare tools and junk such as pick axes, torches, lanterns, axes, firewood, charcoal, leather strips and linen.

How Much Gold do the Mine Foremen Have?

The mine foremen use the 'street vendor' levelled list and so will have 50 gold if you use vanilla merchant gold, and whatever your mods determine if you have altered the merchant gold with a mod.

I know this is a very low amount of gold, and not very useful if you want to offload your Fiery Sword of Enchanted Uselessness on the nearest NPC, but these are not wealthy people and they are more interested in making money off you than the other way around.

Will the Mine Foremen Sell Ore even if their Mine is infested with Draugr/Mercenaries/Spiders?

No.
Or at least, they shouldn't. If they do, please comment and let me know which Mine Foreman is misbehaving and which quest you think should have to be finished before you can buy from them.

 - Thorgar is deluded about his prospects, the mine is almost dry. He's going bust, so the poor bloke doesn't have any ore to sell you.

 - Nope. She's a wealthy woman. She's not gonna carry around a bunch of ore in her back pocket.

Final Notes:

Thank you to everyone who supported the original version of this mod, and I'm very sorry for not ever updating it (and making it reliant on the unofficial patch!). A special thank you to the people who updated it for me, while I was MIA.
