    Hello,

Why I need these patches? For DG and USSEP.
Cos in main mod ESP file says it's already included them as masters.

What changes did you make? There isn't anything on the front page, and there is no change log.

Tbh I'm newbie to "Nexus-mod-uploading", but those mods basically solve conflicts between Dawnguard / USSEP and Finding Derkheetus mod. I'm gonna add change log ASAP. I'm sorry

Conflicts between what exactly? What record type was conflicting?

Obscure in the description of the mod had mentioned USSEP as being a requirement and in the comments had stated some of the USSEP changes not being forwarded were intentional.  Has something changed?

I am thinking the dialogue changes made by USSEP somehow break the mod.  What did USSEP alter?

Thanks for the Changelog update. I am a new to making patches too, trust me. I realized documentation is important, that's all. Just let people know why you made your mod/patch, and that usually lets them know if they should download it.

I'm 99.99999% sure that the Dawnguard patch is not needed at all. Max Height Data is one of the very few records that gets merged from all of our plugins at runtime. No patches should ever be needed to work out only MHDT conflicts. I'm pulling this from memory but I'm fairly certain that is the case.
My assumption on the USEEP patch (and what I'm going to do) is that the USEEP patch should get the "What's happened recently around here?" dialogue change forwarded into it and that would make this USEEP patch the cheese. The O.G. mod Finding Derkeethus makes changes to the actual quest that the USEEP VMAD records reference. So, in theory, I think that the VMAD changes from USEEP are safe to run with, and probably preferable, as in most USEEP instances. I don't have time to test my theory right now so if anyone runs with that, you're on your own. LoL!

EDIT - After reading on the Finding Derkeethus mod page, I'm not so sure if this USEEP patch is even needed. It's starting to look like those VMAD records were omitted on purpose. Some of the USEEP changes got forwarded, but the VMAD records were not. It looks like those VMAD records were left out intentionally. If that's the case, these patches aren't needed.

FINAL EDIT- If you go to the comments section of the og Finding Derkeethus, this question is answered by the author. Seems as if these patches aren't needed after all. The VMAD record omission is intentional.

@fattyzhouse Well - maybe some of the stuff was not forwarded on purpouse, but as I noticed my patches are not harming the game and additionally xEdit is not screaming about bad records tho (and for sure Skyrim itself isn't getting mad about it). I really appreciate that you spent some time on writing your comment, but if you could noticed the fixed version is the "What's happend around here recently?" is forwarded in v1.1 :) I'm sorry you didn't find my patches useful for yourself, but I'm pretty sure some people won't get mad about those. Basically - if they don't need it then they don't get it. I don't want to be mean, but this kind of comment sounds like "I don't like what have you done. It doesn't affect me at all, but for sure I'm gonna tell you how hooeless is this." Like I said - this is my very first time I tried to do something like that, so I will really appreciate less offensive criticism.

Wow. I was only trying to be helpful and informative. I don't believe what I said was in any way offensive or projecting any anger towards you or anyone. I know I come off dry and to the point but I mean you no ill will. I was intending on using both of your patches up until I examined them in xEdit and read through the original mod page. All the best, modkin. I wish you well in your modding endeavors.

Sorry, I must apologize you then. Unfortunatelly, but in my country if someone is saying or leaving such comment, 99,99% like they are trying to bully you, so this is just a force of bad habit :( They are usually very dry and very critical, so that why I didn't noticed you intention. I meant no harm and wish you well, brother in mods.

No apology necessary, modfriend. Sometimes, I wish we were all speaking to each other instead of typing because sooo much gets lost in translation as far as intention goes when we can't hear each others voice. I have nothing but love for you and every single other human being that finds their way to this site because we are here on common purpose. To mod the fire out of Skyrim and have a blast in doing so. All the love to you and yours, modfreind. Cheers!

USSEP script fragment sets the quest stage to 10
FD adds continuation of that dialogue and sets the stage to 10 in its fragment (FD_TIF__07000812)
so, the USSEP patch is not needed and can break stuff

the Dawnguard patch is not really useful too since you most likely have something after FD plugin that overrides the Tamriel worldspace record

I could be wrong but I think forwarding the USSEP changes might not be a good idea. USSEP attaches a quest script to the line of dialogue that Finding Derkeethus overwrites, but Finding Derkeethus attaches its own (similar) stuff to a subsequent line.

I think the Dawnguard patch is fine, although probably unnecessary. My thoughts, anyway; I appreciate the time you took to make this
