What this mod does: This is a simple mod that fortifies a ring (I used the Bone Hawk ring from Dawnguard as a base with a simple retexture) to fortify all magic schools to 100, which means endless magic and weapon charges.  As an addition there's also a fortification to unarmed of 100 (because a ring shaped like that is a total face ripper and I already had a personal mod that did that).

With version 1.2, there is an additional spell called the Spell of Infinite Magicka.  This gives the buff for up to one hour, but it doesn't include the unarmed fortification.

What this mod doesn't do: This mod does not alter any skill or stats on the player.  Your skill levels will stay the same with no buffs or extra perks, and your magicka remains at the same level it was.  If you take the rings off the effect stops (please read the known issues) and you return to normal.  It also doesn't allow you to cast spells above your magicka level.  Say there's a spell with a cost of 150 magicka, and you only have 100 magicka you won't be able to cast it.  This is normal behaviour for the game

Why: This mod is designed to help anyone (like me) who is having issues with infinite charge mods or after they've done a best of both worlds downgrade with the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patch (this is not one of my mods so I can't help with it).  Even downgrading the mods didn't seem to work so it was just easier to create something (I'll be honest, it took me 10 minutes, including the texture for the ring which is a NASA image of the Milky Way because it made a nice onyx effect), and I thought I'd throw it out here in case anyone could make use of it.  This doesn't mean the patch is a requirement or prerequisite, and you can just use it if you fancy free magic.

To get: Download the AIO installer which contains both versions of the mod.  Once installed, it requires crafting at a Skyforge (not normal forge) with an enchanting and smithing skill of 40 (no perks are required if you don't want to deal with that skill tree too much).  In addition you need 1 x void salts, 1 x black soul gem and 1 x silver ring.  The ring can also be unenchanted at the enchanting table and applied to any other hand coverings or rings.

For the spell, make the ring and then go to a cooking station and create the Potion of the Ring (will be in Food).  After that, drink the potion and you will learn the spell.

To celebrate the holiday period, IEG who make the ring are offering the ring and potion completely free for a limited period(1).  To take advantage of this offer simply level up and you'll receive the offer.  Due to the success of their holiday promotion, IEG have decided to extend their holiday period promotion indefinitely.  Simply level up and if you have the Spell Edition installed, you'll be offered the ring and potion completely free.

Known issues:  In some cases, removing the ring causes any charges in the weapon to dissipate.  It can be avoided sometimes by unequipping the weapons first. The solution is to give the weapons a quick top up charge (normally or via console) and you'll be good to go.  If anyone knows why this happens or how to fix it please let me know.

Another issue is the fact you won't level up in any of the skill trees for the schools while wearing this.  I believe the game checks how much magicka has been spent in various schools to add the skill levels, and the way the mod works stops this from happening.

If you're updating, then I'd recommend an uninstall of the previous version and a clean save.  If you've disenchanted the ring and attached the enchantment to any armour it should stay in place with the clean save as the enchantments are just vanilla enchantments.

A small number of individuals may suffer side effects from using the Ring of Infinite Magicka and/or Spell of Infinite Magicka.  Please discontinue use if you experience any of the following symptoms: blurred or double vision, excessive flatulence, bloating, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, constipation and diarrhoea simultaneously, jaundice, being sexually aroused at the sight of Boris Johnson (also known as beastiality), being entertained by reality television, rectal itching, genital warts and/or discharge, blood in the urine, multiple organ failure, death.  If symptoms still persist over 72 hours from discontinuing usage, then you should make your peace with your god(s), seek urgent medical attention, make sure your life insurance is up to date, and your funeral plan in place.

If anyone fancies converting this to Skyrim LE then go for it (it can be rebuilt from scratch in 5 minutes).  The only restrictions are you give me credit, and link here (I'll link back - don't forget to message me).

Fin: Yep.  Love/hate/enjoy/perform bizarre experiments on.

Footnotes:
1 - I'll be updating the mod and removing the offer after New Year, so get it while you can.  I lied.
