The alternate start version is bugged. It adds a second argonian race , also when going to bed on the vanilla setting I don't see the options to choose deprived. Milk drinker. Etc
Specifically the mod doesn't work using the default/ vanilla start, when, it doesn't present the option to choose deprived, no. Or I'm no milk drinker. Maybe for vanilla option it should be changed to when the person enters helgen keep
Not as fast as I thought. Been playing for a few days, and I'm still Level 1 for most some skills. Unexpected gotcha moment when I couldn't improve the dagger I made for Adriana. Had to work to level up smithing and come back later.
The real kicker here is avoiding one-hit kills by bears and the like. Really dicey early game in my experience. (Fun, of course.)
Guess I'm a milk drinker after all. I selected the no-milk-drinker option and had to toggle god mode (~tgm) to survive the jump out of the tower in Helgen. Could not figure how to survive that otherwise.
I'm enjoying this. It certainly makes the start very challenging. I recruited Faendal immediately and that helped.
Editing this to add that the no-milk-drinker option, which starts health, magicka, and stamina at 10, causes an ongoing leveling issue in combat. It takes 12 levels just to get to 50-50-50, and enemy combatants are scaled for a tougher player character. I'm now level 26 or so and still running from a lot of battles like a milk drinker. Really puts the PC behind the game's expected progression curve. Challenging. No complaints, but it has really made me rethink early game strategies.
great! essentially you start in helgen as a bystander, the ''is this a new character prompt'' comes up but doesnt seem to work, im hoping you could trigger it to door of the room after character creation

I do have one question though, does it mean you'll skill/level up super quick in the early game?
