I can't believe the game has more than one decade (i think) and still have this error, its just luck and being a mod addict how one can find this, thank you.
For me, the snow looks very bright on roads, but the snow around it is much darker. Is there a way to fix this? What this mod did, was fix it so the snow appeared on all rocks, even those non snowy ones in the picture. This is perfect but my snow is just too bright, not sure why.. :( Im using seasons of skyrim, with simplicty of seasons, and I use fantasia landscapes for textures. I dont know what to do lol
This also happened to me when using fantasia landscapes, and I don't know why. Even with all the ini settings recommended below, and the diffuse textures, nothing overwriting etc. I switched back to another snow mod because I just couldn't fix it, and no longer have this issue
Before, i has bright stones bug too. And i delete this mod. But... After some time of creating my modpack, i install it again. And don't has this bug anymore!
From this time, i install VividWeather. Maybe, weather mods can help solve this. But i don't sure
hi and thanks for your mod. i seem to have a problem, it looks diffrent than on your screenshots. i'm using skyland AIO and the snow is too white. yes, i have majestic mountains installed, but deactivated it together with dyndolod and only activated your mod with skyland aio and blended roards + simplicity of snow. sadly the problem (too white snow on blended roads), remains.
btw: i don't have the simplicity of snow - majestic mountains patch installed for the same reason/problem, as i have with your mod.

Any ideas what i could do? So far i'm playing pretty good with Majestic Mountains, Blended Roads and Simplicity of Snow only with the projected diffuse texture for skyland fromthe projected diffuse patch hub mod.
well i deinstalled the mod and activated only enb parallax in enbseries.ini to use skyland landscape parallax. i continued to play the last savegame without this mod and it works fine with simplicity of snow + projecteddiffuse patch hub for skyland (without parallax, cause i'm using enb parallax only) + simplicity of snow majestic mountains patch. you can find the mods by searching them here on nexus...
maybe the mods skyrim parallax shader fix (only the dll), community shaders and auto parallax are necessary to run this proberly and i did not had them installed, because they are not listed here as requirements and i only want to use enb parallax, because i heard that the .dll of the skyrim parallax shader fix mod damages the skyrim shader system. Or i had those mods installed and the problem is due to this mod, i don't know. Anyway, for now i'm using only enb parallax and everything is fine. Something of this info should fix your issue too @ sepiasepiasepia
So solved by using enb parallax without this mod and maybe the issue is not from this mod! Maybe everything works when installing the above mentioned "non enb parallax mods": skyrim parallax shader fix (only the dll), community shaders and auto parallax. i can't remember if i had them installed or not, i guess i did install them to cross check, but i'm sadly not 100% sure anymore. Or maybe this mod simply not works when using enb parallax textures together with non enb parallax mods. Maybe some one can test and clarify.
This mod caused a conflict with the bridge next to windhelm. Not the Windhelm Bridge leading into the city, but the bridge that's down below the Talos shrine.

BEnableProjectedUVDiffuseNormals=1 (this is usually mistyped in vanilla. its missing 'd' in Projected. you need to correct it)
bEnableImprovedSnow=0
It is very obvious :(

Thanks.
Edit. Installed the parallax meshes of Simplicity of Snow and now it works. Thanks!
