I finally adjusted the gain to make each track more level with the game's audio. I even added an option to change the tuning of the tracks to match them with the rest of the game's soundtrack! Enjoy!
Hope this is better then the canned "Live" performance we got on Twitter. Interspersed with self help stories and the power of Skyrim, by the end of it I felt like it was one giant thought programing course by Dale Carnegie. The mods on Twitter where literally blocking the name Jeremy Soule in chat as people were asking who composed the music for Skyrim. Wish i could of told them he also did two other little games called Oblivion and Morrowind. It was unreal.
I absolutely feel you. Despite I sincerely enjoyed the event, the fact that Jeremy Soule wasn't even mentioned was probably one of the lowest moments in Bethesda's history. The hipocrisy of Todd saying "When we created the music for the game" was unbearable. It is unlikely I will buy another game from Bethesda.
And, as a musician, I must be honest: Inon Zur is an above-average composer in videogame industry, but generally speaking is absolutely mediocre. He can't even be compared to Soule. I hope JS can come back from the shadows and dedicate himself to movie soundtracks. He still has a lot to say.
Look at this example, hum the theme to the last three TES games, sure no problem that's, Soule. Now hum the theme to Fallout 3... can't ? .... hmm me neither, how about Fallout New Vegas... sorry don't remember it, ok lets try Fallout 4... nope still no theme I can remember. That's Zur. Woo Hoo can't wait for the memorable theme from Starfield :( Yep your right Zur is mediocre at best.
I know there's been a grave controversy about the man but it still kinda felt hypocritical/cowardly to just erase him this way. Kind of reminded me of people disappearing from Soviet photos.
If they've decided to cut their ties with Soule entirely, then I wish Bethesda would hire back Eric Heberling, and whoever was the mystery other composer from Arena and Daggerfall.
Fallout 3's theme gives me chills, personally. Probably my favorite fallout theme. The ambient tracks aren't nearly as robust as say oblivion or skyrim, but I think the man's got at least some chops.
You're being unfair to Inon Maybe his music for Fallout is bad, I dunno, I've only played New Vegas, and I liked and remember the music in it But a much better example of Inon is Dragon Age 2, which has an amazing and really vibrant soundtrack, you should check it out even if you don't wanna play the game
Maybe Fallout's music isn't memorable because of the direction of it, it's very muted and atmospheric, and I think that's intentional because the big musical things in Fallout are the reused music on the radio
Lowest moment ? Let me remind you of who is Jeremy Soule, bursiness wise, he himself equated piracy to the actual, legitimate Holocaust and his company, Directsong, is years behind on shipping albums that people bought and currently under a class-action lawsuit. There are reports of people that had been waiting on the Guild Wars 2 soundtrack since release day in 2012, and even deleting tickets made my customers asking about it. Not to mention failing to deliver what hundred of thousands fans paid for, and also disapproving this live concert for which, and for good reason, he wasn't called at.
I must've screwed something up, cause I have UHDAP and when I have it enabled the mod doesn't work... Any tips please? I really want both mods to work, without sacrificing anything.
You'll have to load this mod after UHDAP. This mod is a replacer, not something that adds on the the OST. In order for both to work, you'll have to pick and choose which tracks you want from this mod to write over UHDAP.
is this using the high quality flacs? I noticed that the size is 4x smaller than my conversion of the flacs. if you dont have them, id be happy to provide
There are two versions, one which is lower quality to match the bitrate of the game OST, and ones that are higher quality. If you have higher quality flacs than the ones provided in the HiFi version, I wouldn't be against you sending them my way! I can update those as well as have them match the game OSTs volume (compression, limiters, etc).
I really like this, but the audio mixing isn't really made for a game (or at least for headphones), the quiet parts are too quiet compared to the loud parts ): I'm still gonna use this though :P
This is amazing!! Does it also replace battle music? I have a custom mod that replaced boss music with darksouls lol so wondering if this should go before or after that one.
You have the option to not select the combat music in the mod installer. If you want the Darksouls combat music to load instead of this mod, load that mod after this one.
