I wonder as well. On the Audio Overhaul mod site, Sounds of Skyrim is still listed as UNRECOMMENDED or UNSUPPORTED. Whereas regarding Cathedral Weathers and AO, some posts seem to indicate that the respective AO patch for CW should be removed when using 3.9.0...
@Terenzz - Sounds of Skyrim is not recommended on the AOS mod page because of all the extra stuff and poor sound that is in a lot of Sounds of Skyrim stuff (noisy invisible crowds, etc.) which clashes pretty heavily with AOS's sound design. I run a pretty heavily modified version of Sounds of Skyrim for myself and it works quite well for me.
As all three required mods have been updated since this integration patch here was published: does the integration patch still work as it is supposed to with the three updated mods?
Since I've taken a break from modding and Skyrim, I'm honestly not sure. It would need to be verified in SSEEdit. It depends on what was upgraded in each respective mod.
I’m guessing that this patch won’t work for cathedral: seasons? I ask because it has a compatibility patch for true storms that make the two work together.. you know of any patch out there otherwise for true storms and cathedral besides his mod.. I couldn’t find anything and your mod I take it works with just regular cathedral weathers.
One last question does your mod require cathedral sos and aos to be up to date.. some of my mods depend on older versions of those mods
edit : last question will this work with mods like forgotten dungeons? Or will a patch need to be made?
I'm very late to this response as I've been away from Skyrim Modding. The plugin dependencies don't care about the versions you have, however some of the records in this will be using whatever's provided in the latest version as of when this was published.
I'm not sure about Forgotten Dungeons. That mod shoudl still work as normal, you just won't get the benefit of the ambience provided by Sounds of Skyrim since Sounds of Skyrim uses new acoustic spaces. I've had some ideas about a mod/overhaul of Sounds of Skyrim that would address this issue without having to use new Acoustic Space records that mod authors could use as a framework, but that is a WIP.
Hey there. Thanks for stopping by. I've actually taken a break from Skyrim modding for a little while. While this is doable, I don't have any plans to do this anytime soon. In either case, the sound records will be overwritten from any weather mod you use.
Hi there! It's a great mod you've made, thank you so much! I'm really curious which one of SOS and AOS did you choose to use for dungeons? I really enjoy SOS's creepy sounds in dungeon.
Why would you use this patch if you don't have Sounds of Skyrim? There already is an Audio Overhaul patch for Cathedral. Sounds of Skyrim is a master to this patch, so no you cannot use it without Sounds of Skyrim.
AOS-ISC Integration patch should load much further "up" (lower priority) than this mod. Since this patch goes after Cathedral Weathers and Seasonsand Sounds of Skyrim, there's no way the AOS or ISC integration should be near it in your load order. Mod description for load order recommendation still applies to patches.
