Hey have you ever tried to make a Selachii preset into a follower for Skyrim Special Edition?
Because when I tried to make one I noticed a nasty glitch where the game crashes when you load the character in. This also happened when I checked out the default bodied npc's that was originally from the main Selachii mod unless I had npc ai turned off via console command. I'd blame myself for using the wrong parts to make the character, but the first time I made a follower it worked fine in Oldrim and all the assets for the SSE version came from the unofficial SSE Selachii race. I would assume it's not possible with the current version of Selachii, but I've actually seen a few working shark followers in SSE and I was wondering if you knew how they got past the initial crash when making Selachii followers?
I did one for myself and i had no issues. Altho since that i deleted it. Id say you probably didnt ported out his/her head in CK, or made something stupid with the bodyparts if you wanted to make standalone. Dosent matter how you view it. Skyrim most oftenly crashes on heads, not body parts.
Thank you for the reply, it's encouraging to know someone else who tried making a follower of this race had no issues. So now that I know it was likely something wrong on my end, I think I'll likely try out making a Shark again. After I find whatever mistake I made of course :P Thanks WeerW3ir. Since you created this you might know. If I wanted to replace an NPC's body with this character, what would be the best way to go about that? Could it be done with racemenu?
Gonna try this one. I made a guide for such content on Steam and came accross this preset. I am still waiting for an update of the Selachii mod on Loverslab, but I guess there won't be any soon. In the meantime I can enjoy myself playing as a shark. Nice work ^^
actually was thinking about for long for making to her to be a standalone follower. but havent decided. would not lie if i would say her name would be Captain Skye. with a very elaborate backstory of getting mutiny on her ship and getting dumped into skyrim. eh. maybe i should write once a good story and not always one where my heroes are having a messed up past. but hey. Auroras one no is not that terrible. :P
Well you already know how I feel about making her a follower and Blaze recently made a SSE port of the selachii. You would need to find a good pirate outfit and hat to make it truly good.
I would love a SFW version of The Selachii - Shark Race SE. Even if it isn't lore-friendly I wanna play as a shark race and I don't want any nudity included!
I was wondering when someone would take the Selachii assets and make a follower or preset, hoping more for a follower, but beggars can't be choosers. Looks pretty good and with the Lykaios morphing out of the Khajiit, we needed something morphing out of the Argonians. If the Lykaios and the Selachii could make it into the main game more we would have a perfect 4-4-4 of Men, Mer, and Beast Race.
Not every race is so welcomed on Nexus you know. I already got some not so kind message here. ~that's why the sticky post. I can always make a follower from her obviously but it's not on my priority list of modding. Anyway the next would be the lioness. But actually for now there is nothing on it for the next few days. Family first. eh? :P
That sucks, what do they want a few thousand more human and elf followers. I guess variety is a 4 letter word to some people. Its a shame really, I always liked the Selachii race and have been looking forward to a full SSE version.
Gotta say, wasn't expecting to see a Shark Girl today. But other than that, I think she looks good though. Reading that this Selachii race is still a WIP I'll try to keep track of both it and your Skye preset so when it is finished I'll check it out fully.
Yeah.. about that... This is just one timer. gonna stay with basic races. +/- lykaios. but not sure. still have a lot to do. hah :P But. damn that pirate armor fits her really well. lol

But Blaze kinda not really playing SE version so he is kinda not making a new version. >_<
