*Also note that the textures in the images were thrown together without a plan to show variety.*
*The extremely dark textures are someone else's mod and not the optional ones in this mod.*

This mod features,

Master Thief Armor
Obviously a blend of the Thieves Guild Leader and Nightingale armors.
The armor is obtained by defeating Mercer at the end of the Thieves Guild quest who is wearing it during the final confrontation.
I placed the armor in his Outfit file so that his character would remain untouched for anyone who has a face altering mod.
The mask I placed separate in a satchel *on the floor left (opposite) of the big book the statue is holding* to avoid conflict with face altering mods.
He will be wearing Guild Leader armor within the Cistern and the Master Thief armor only during the final stage.
Added an image because people have trouble finding the satchel. Open the screenshots and click left once.

Three leveled armors
All armor looks the same but have progressive stats making it more viable for end game users.
All three levels can be tempered at a workbench and upgraded at a forge when Smithing is leveled to Glass or Dragon Armor.
What Lvl you are when you reach Mercer determines which armor rating you will receive.

If you are at Lvl 1 - 35     the armor rating will be 37 on the chest piece which is one less than Ivory armor
If you are at Lvl 36 - 45   the armor rating will be 39 on the chest piece which is equivalent of Stalhrim armor
If you are at Lvl 46 - UP  the armor rating will be 41 on the chest piece which is the equivalent of Dragonskin armor
(All of the equipment is leveled, I just didn't want to make this page extremely long with technical babble)
Upgraded to level two at a forge when you level  to Glass Smithing while level two can be upgraded to level three when you level to Dragon Armor.
Upgrading at a forge only requires that you have the armor and the materials in your inventory.

New Feature:
You can now trade your Cuirass and/or Hood at the forge repeatedly switching between Capeless, HDT/Standard, and Torn or a Regular Hood, Open Hood, and Closefaced Hood. Unfortunately this can be exploited to raise your Smithing skill without the use of materials by just swapping the hood or armor back and forth repeatedly. *Closefaced Hood requires the mod Improved Closefaced Helmets. Without it the model will be empty*

Corrected Master Thief Set Bonus
When four or more Master Thief items are equipped you will gain an additional bonus.

New mod features,

FOUR Custom Texture SlotsYou can now have up to four different textures on your armor. Simply copy and paste the texture files of your favorite three mod authors into the Custom Folders or be a little more selective for a cleaner folder. The textures are linked via the ESP.

Crafting Ability
The original Master Thief armor now has an unenchanted model that can be crafted at a forge along with the three Custom textured models. They all have the same stats with three different Lvls but now you can enchant them the way you want. Each level is confined to one book. When you level to Glass Smithing the option to obtain the second book will become available in the forge. Armor Lvl 1 will no longer be an option or show up in the forge. Same applies to when you level from Glass to Dragon Armor. Wearing the enchanted armor obtained from Mercer while forging this armor is not recommended. It can become confusing with the ability to swap the enchanted Cuirass and Hood infinitely. *The book for enchanting is located on the left side of Mercer's desk in the Cistern.*

New Inventory Meshes
New inventory meshes that represent what the armor will look like. No more will you be confused with Master Thief and Nightingale armor. The only exception is the Regular Hood and the Closefaced Hood, I couldn't think of a way to differentiate them other than their titles.

Optional Darker Textures
Included in the previous title, now placed in the options for anyone who used them. These textures are closer to what I envisioned for the original mod. There aren't really that many mod options to choose from out there so give them a try.

BodySlide Data in the miscellaneous section
The files have been organized into their respective group but you will have to manually open the zip file and select the proper one. Only one can be used, they all share the same name and file structure so each one will replace the last. The HDT cape is not included because, one, it doesn't belong to me but to Altair155, and two, Bodyslide will warp the cape and make it look funky. The best option would be to build your armor in BodySlide and then touch up the cape to the best of your ability to hide clipping.

Additional Notes
This mod does not contain any textures. I provided the vanilla textures in the Custom Folders as a place holder
so that the models would not be purple. It is up to you to place textures in these folders to have  four sets,
otherwise they will all look the same. It also does not contain Closed Faced Helmets, only the ability
for that mod to work in conjunction with this one. No longer supported by ESL because the
file is too big to be considered light, sadly.

This is compatible with everything, to the best of my knowledge, except any mod that alters the ThievesGuildMercerOutfitKillType Outfit file
Currently not compatible with the Anniversary Edition because it requires Faster HDT

***There is one problem!***

I don't believe it is a major issue but be aware that you should not change body weight while wearing the female HDT Cape armor or the cape will bug out and possibly CTD. If you wish to change your body type, remove the armor, change your weight,  and put it back on.

The HDT cape I created the armor around is by Altair155 which can be found at
Nightingale Armor Replacer Cape HDT-SMP (Female CBBE) and Male
I recommend downloading his files for the Nightingale armor, the meshes provided in this mod are modified to fit the Master Thief armor only
Anyone using HDT should already expect some clipping but I think I removed most of it and am quite happy with the end result.

The Custom Dark Thieves Guild Leader textures were created around FrankFamily's
Frankly HD Thieves Guild Armors
These files are REQUIRED if you use the optional Custom Darker textures
None of the Normal Maps are included with this mod

The Custom Dark Nightingale and Torn Scarf textures were created around User_2039153's
Nightingale Hi-res Retex with Torn Scarf and Variants
These files are REQUIRED if you use the optional Custom Darker textures
None of the Normal Maps are included with this mod

While this mod does not actually use any of navida1 assets
Improved Closefaced Helmets
I believe it is only fitting to acknowledge them and provide a link for their helmets to work
None of the meshes are included with this mod

Installation
Install into a mod manager
Open MasterThiefCollection file
Open Textures/[AR_resources]/Armor/MTCustom01/armor/
Replace the texture files provided with the ones you choose
Repeat for MTCustom02 and MTCustom03
Close file and play game

Not recommended, needs updated. But if you would prefer individual armor of Capeless,
HDT, and Standard then this is where to find it. No Crafting available. Lacking in every way.
