About this mod

A save at the No.5 Reactor Lvl 9 that contains every materia. All materia is mastered with three copies in most cases including Master Magic, Master Command, and Master Summon.

I probably have a year's worth of grinding under my belt from FF7 alone after playing it so many times
in the late 90s and early 2000s. Well it had been close to twenty years since I played it.
I had it tricked out with mods that made it look and sound beautiful. After spending 90 hours
grinding and reaching the final descent into the crater I happened upon the W-Item and
Materia Smuggling cheats. I went to work transferring all my mastered materia to the earliest I
could in the game and started over. Without grinding I beat it in 30 hours and was at Lvl 90
by the time I reached the crater. If I live another twenty years and ever play it again it will
be with this save file. Sometimes you just want the nostalgia without putting in
a hundred hours. So I am sharing this with the community. Enjoy.

  • I never used the listed green materia so I only provided one copy to preserve space. Sorry.
  • I provided one copy of summon materia in case you want to set up Sneak Attack + Knights of the Round or whatever.
  • I provided one copy of command materia because I don't know, you might have some setup that requires it. This would be the area to delete if you want space, especially the Slash-All (not mastered) because you could use Mega All for the same effect.
  • The independent materia is the most haphazard. Most of the one copies are because they don't stack or I didn't notice any change. I don't believe you need more than two copies of Cover, otherwise it just defeats the purpose. HP and MP plus does not go over 100% so two for each character is all that was necessary.
  • The Enemy Skill only has two things learned. If anyone wants to send me a save file where it is full then I will make an update. Make sure the save is at a spot that is missing someone, such as when Cloud is in Mideel or when the group splits up in the crater. Note that if you then leave the crater the party will regroup and not split up again.


Installation

Download mod
Open zip file and move save00.ff7 to SteamApps>FINAL FANTASY VII>save folder
Play a new game and when you reach the No.5 Reactor save location just before placing the bomb, quit and load this save.

If you are not using 7th Heaven modifier then you need to open the first screen that pops up on FF7 shortcut that has PLAY/ACHIEVEMENTS/SETTINGS
While that box is open, go to the location FF7 is installed, in my case it is C:\>Documents>Square Enix>FINAL FANTASY VII Steam>user_********
Open zip file and move save00.ff7 to the user_******** folder
Play game and load continue
Load save file
SAVE AGAIN
It should work now, otherwise Steam will delete the save when you open the first screen.

I doubt this save file will work on Playstation but feel free to try and let me know if it does or does not.
