If you want to add support for other mods or items you have to:

    • Copy the gear entry and remove the enchantment on the new entry
    • Open the old gear entry and set the new entry you just created as its template
    • Create a new constructable object record
    • Set the ingredient to your old gear entry
    • Set the crafting result to your newly created template gear entry
    • Optionally: Add a condition to only look for the mentioned ingredient so the entry only shows up when you have it in inventory
    • add the ArcaneDisenchanter_EVE keyword from my mod to the just created Craftable Object record.
    • Done

So far this is the only remove enchantments mod that understands what I want, but it dosen't seem to work for most things right now. The Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, and Nightengale stuff all cannot have their enchantments removed, nor the Deity amulets or pre-enchanted weapons like the Drainblood Battleax, Drainspell Bow, or Drainheart Sword. There's probably more stuff I haven't tried, but currently if you want to remove enchantments on any of those, you can't yet.

Still really really want something like this though, there's so many cool outfits and gear that just aren't viable cause they're forever stuck with subpar enchantments. So thanks for starting out on this project, even if it dosen't work on everything yet.

Thanks for the warning. Best you can do is install mods that let you craft your own versions of the unique items then.

Only works on non-player enchanted items. Other than that no idea were you went wrong. Non vanilla enchantments? mod added items?

well, Idk, i dont have mods that change enchantments per se, and i have both player mde and native enchanted itens, none appear, list all empty.
BUT I use "ordinator" mod that change skyrim perks, including enchanting. do you think it could be some incompatibility?

Maybe a mod that changes the disenchantment font itself like LOTD. Otherwise a mod that changes leveled list (removes all the old loot and replaces it by new loot tables). Those two case would be the most likely.

My apologies if it's a silly question, but does this happen to be compatible with JK's interior mods perhaps?

I don't know. your guess is as good as mine. Though JKs tends to use every inch of free space there is, it probably puts something were i placed the fonts.

      I see, that's unfortunate. :(

Does this not work for unique items such as the nightingale armour?

It should, but doesn't right now. I'll fix that when I have the time.

Thank you. Been trying to get unenchanted versions of the thieves' guild armor that's also compatible with the mod that lets you wear circlets with hoods.

There are a couple mods that add unenchanted versions to the game, but none of them would let me have the circlets on at the same time, so now I'm trying to just unenchant the vanilla versions.

I was wondering if this ever came up, but I was hoping to disenchant the red eagle weapons and it wouldn't show up on the list to disenchant, any suggestions?

Thanks for creating this mod, would it be possible to add an animation to the character when using it? (the same as the enchantment table would be perfect). I think it would be more consistent with the other crafting furniture in Skyrim.

Oh I'd love that! Sadly I#m not an animator, but I can ask around!

I believe you can copy certain things from one crafting table to another. Don't remember names but remember that it looked fairly obvious at the time (but it was a while ago). I created a mini smelting pot in my personal house mod by combining the functions of a smelter and the animation of the cooking pot. So it just took a little fiddling to get it right. Don't know if that helps?

Dunno if this is because I'm using AE, but the Thalmor Robes can't be un-enchanted.

That said, I haven't been able to find a single (updated) mod that adds/allows me to make an un-enchanted Thalmor Robe. If anyone has one, I'd be grateful. (bonus point's If can get a separate hooded version)

you could try thalmor rearmed equipment overhaul it has an optional file to craft the armors from the mod and they look very good imo
