I wish I found this mod years ago. Don't have hear a kid saying "Need something?" anymore. The weird problem I have with it is I can only use npcs from other mods if I list them in the .json file before installing the mod, whether the npc mod is esp or espfe. Otherwise, it will just list Hod as the only npc besides the defaults that can be chosen, no matter the different npcs or mods used. It does replace the kids with Hod if he is chosen. There are no conflicts with any plugins I have.
just finished downloading and installing and testing a lot of armor mods that use spid, i guess some try to distribute to kids results were kids in their underwear this seems like an easy fix rather than going through one by one trying to fix it, so thank you kindly
I just had problems with this mod because of Bleak Falls Barrow -> Dragon Rising. Here's what I did to fix it:
Loaded a save before turning in the dragonstone to Farengar (I know).
Got the dragonstone, fast travelled to Dragonsreach, didn't enter it. Saved.
Disabled this mod through MCM (Mod Configuration Menu)
Did a bunch of commands on the console. Pressing enter between each line below: prid 0001A67A enable moveto player prid 0001A679 enable moveto player prid 0001A67B enable moveto player prid 0001A67F enable moveto player
Exiting the console, 3 kids + Irileth should enter Dragonsreach. I completed the Bleak Falls Barrow quest and Dragon Rising started
Very weird interaction. Wtf do these kids have to do with this quest at all?
My experience: Sighting of UFCs (unidentified flying chickens) to later find an army of chickens on the trail to the nearest town. I think they were preparing an invasion, lol.
Just had this happen to me when first installing it. Every town was 60 chickens... I couldn't escape the horde that turned into hundreds before my eyes after leaving Belathor's General Goods...
Just to add this here, too: Frothar, Dagny and Nelkir are required for the Dragon Rising quest
Edit: The TES Wiki lists these children as having their own quest:
Nelkir, Little Pelagius, Smaref Ice-Blade, Skuli, Svari, Aventus Aretino, Kayd, Lars Battle-Born, Braith, Fjotra
Source In case anyone wants to try it, I made an MCM Recorder JSON that automatically re-enables these children:

Save as Data\McmRecorder\NoKids\0001_No Kids.json or similar, then play it from the Recorder MCM. It's mostly untested so far, as I've yet to advance my No Kids save further, but I'd be happy to accept test reports on older saves. It currently includes quests that only involve children and don't have a "real" reward, I'm not sure whether I should cut those. Most notably, these include Lars Battle-Born and Braith.
I wonder if it would be possible to make the children invisible, inaudible and maybe even remove the collision mesh but not remove them, such that any of the times when they should appear in quests, instead a void with subtitles and no sounds appears. Then it would be non-blocking, and you could easily identify the kids that you might want to re-enable, but it would be entirely optional. This would esp. fix these occasions where quests define some minor action for children (such as Dragon Rising) which makes the children a mandatory quest requirement/quest alias.

I guess it is in a sense a "post-killable children" mod
