thanks for highlighting that i kinda overlooked the fact people might want to use this for oldrim. as you say, it works perfectly fine with the oldrim version of real bows, as the mod only contains texture files. just download manually and drag the zip into oldrim NMM or install manually!
The Ebony Bow is honestly perfect texture wise. Ebony is a real wood that is black. The only texture I am not a fan of is the Ancient Nord Bow Texture. That Blue just doesn't look good in my eyes. However, every other texture is absolutely beautiful.
Apologies for not already having a link to here over on the Real Bows-Standalone page ! This hit me like a ton of bricks while I was in game testing a patch I'm working on and I had to stop a second and come drop a line or two. I think I'm the only one dragging behind on linking the other mods pertaining to Real Bows for Special Edition. I'll have this remedied soon. I remember checking your new look out back in January when I commented below and they looked awesome from what I can recall. I'll give them another look see when I can and take a few screenshots and drop them off here as well. Apologies again, mate. Cheers !
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but will this work fine with the standalone version of the Real Bows SE? I love what you did with the orcish bow!
thanks that would be awesome! also thank you for porting real bows over to se, i still remember seeing the original being on hot files and me instantly getting it haha. as it wasn't SUPER popular, i wasn't expecting it to get ported so quickly to se!

I always had the same reservations about Real Bows. They looked really nice and realistic, but the brightly colored wood seemed off more often than not. I mean, I have a real wooden recurve bow and it doesn't look like it's made of birch...
Thank you! It always bugged me that the ancient Nordic bow doesn't have the same colour wood as the rest of the ancient Nordic weapons. It seemed like an extremely obvious thing that the mod author should have fixed and it was really disappointing when I found out the colours were SO off for the other weapons as well. Now I can go back to using it!
