I just wish I could go further than the carrot going poof because I’m stuck and I don’t know how to fulfill the carrot’s quest as it tells me to. (that farm is terrifying btw, gave me Midsommar’s vibes and now I’m sorted for life where potatoes are concerned lol)

That might be the "final" version but it's not the version he hid on his website. Just found it, after clicking everything all day. The version on the Nexus is 1.3.7, at the top of his webpage it says the version under final is 1.3.9, but the hidden one says 1.6.8. So after looking at the properties of the files the Nexus mod (1.3.7) was created 10/8/2021 @ 12:17pm, the one hidden on his website (1.6.8?) was created on 12/24/2021 @ 9:26am, and the one listed as "final" under the SSE button at the top of his website (1.3.9?) was created on 1/6/2022 @ 11:04pm. The creator of this mod, AradGad (Skeever), may he rest in peace, passed away on 1/7/2022. The world lost someone that day who will forever be missed.

He was a wonderful human being trying to survive on this planet as best he could. He was completely failed by a corrupt chinese government insistent on evicting perceived non-productive people out of the country at the time. He mentions this in his final video. He could speak 3 or 4 different languages near FLUENTLY, he was teaching children in his apartment block how to speak different languages and mentioned how bad he felt for them for what he was about to do.

I am very sad about the death of the author, but as a Chinese player, I want to tell you that he may be deported due to the expiration of his visa. This has nothing to do with government corruption. Finally, I hope the author can rest in peace. A world that can eliminate the violence of prejudice and indifference
i saw his last video,in the end of the video he said some chinese that the company he work for was close down.i think that is the reason he lost his visa because he lost his job
I've enjoyed my short time with Skeever, all things considered. This is a phenomenal companion... Really unfortunate I'm having this issue, I wish something could be done about the (1) bug in the bug section people are having, myself included, where he just stands in place and will not follow thereafter. I've tried various different things, trying to jolt his script, using 'animation unstuckers' like I'm Glad You're Here, using moveto player command, trying to move his quest forward...nothing is working.
Would be awesome if a hero who knows their stuff could come up with a fix for this, I guess in the meanwhile I'll just play a different character.
Skeever has so many unique features and was created with an incredible attention to detail and has a truly fascinating story, the likes of which I have never seen before. It is totally original and not like anything else out there. It is so obvious that this mod was created by a true genius. As with most geniuses, an incredible mind comes at a cost. Time and time again, we lose the best people in this world because they are able to see just how cruel the rest of the world is. It is so deeply sad to lose such a talented and smart person. Not only that, but a person that truly cared for others and had a big heart.
I had already spent many hours with skeever and was amazed by this follower mod when i eventually googled something about one of skeevers quests and ended up finding out what happened to the mod's creator, Gad Arad. We are certainly missing out on so much amazing and unique content that he would've created if he were still alive today.
I have tried to find the hidden version of this mod but i can not seem to find it, or i guess im not sure if i have actually found it. can someone tell me which version number the final version is, as i have seen other versions that are newer than what is on nexus, but i cant tell if this is the final version. The story seems to end abruptly which is obviously understandable but I want to make sure that I absorb all of the content that Gad Arad gave us
I just wish I could tell you what a great companion Skeever is. I'm at lvl29 with Skeever by my side since I met him near the beginning of the game and it's just been an awesome time. He's a joy to be around and keeps things entertaining. The detail is amazing and it's really awesome that no matter where we are, I can more than likely ask him what he thinks about that place. I'm still trying to find the 4th diary, and if I'm clever as I hope I am, I think I just understood the hint of where to go after visiting 3 incorrect inns.
Skeever might be the best companion I've played with in any Bethesda game. He's truly one of a kind and I can't imagine playing without this guy.
Unfortunately, I've run into a problem with him that I've never encountered before in any follower, modded or otherwise: he's just stopped following me, entirely. Just stands in one place for all eternity. I left him standing in Haemar's Shame and he just stayed there, forever staring at old Clavy, until I used my tracking mod to summon him to another place to stand around forever. I've functionally fixed the problem for now by putting him to sleep and using the Dream Geas perk from Ordinator to forcefully override his following mechanics, but if I release him, he goes back to just standing around, so not really sure what to do about that. XP EDIT: Of note is that "fixed" is a relative term, because while he does follow me while Geassed, he has no passive dialogue, soooo...
My issue got fixed! Skeever previously stood in place at the Dawnstar entrance to the city after a dragon attack. I noticed that like 5-10 villagers were also just stuck standing there.
I hypothesized that the issue was with the dragon attack script and how townspeople gather around afterward. I was right! I simply waiting around / fast traveled back and fourth until another random dragon attack, and after we killed it, Skeever is back following me!
So whatever your issue, maybe try to simulate what took place right when he stopped following. Some event? Repeatable radiant world event? Idk. Hope this helps and long live Skeever. RIP AradGad.
