FYI this works just fine with Experience. Just leave Experience unchecked in the left pane of MO2, go through character creation, then sleep and level up at an inn, save, exit, enable Experience, reboot the game, and bob's your uncle.

This isnt "works just fine".. what you just described is a workaround. But thanks to this comment now i know the two mods dont work together, not wholefully at least, i assume it will only keep you at level 1. Saved me the trouble of testing for myself.

Thanks for the info! Do I really need to sleep at an inn before enable Experience, or can I just level up, save and exit?

Anyone that knows if either version 1.0 or 1.1 of "You Are Not A Novice" work with Skyrim 1.6.640?

Just downpatched the game and a lot of the mods work fine, but most of those provide some information about which versions they're made for. Where as with this mod, I'm having a difficult time finding any information on that.

Doesnt work with 1.6.1170  (1130 probably the same)
Needs to be updated for the new script extender  2.2.6  which is a requirement for this mod to function properly.
Unfortunately looks abandoned --any other alternatives?

Is the Book Start option a "patch" to make the main mod not kick off automatically and give the book (that starts the main mod when read), or is it standalone?

Basically, do I need to download / install both files, or just the Book Start?

Would it be possible to choose skills and mastery directly? For example no class fits for a sneaky diplomat with one-handed proficiency.

its pretty easy to change the masteries in xedit yourself. there is quite a good explanation somewhere in the comments

    Wonderful mod!

I'm running into this issue nowadays where the scripts don't seem to run.  I use book start exclusively, and the UI works fine and comes up every time, but after finishing my selections, nothing ever happens no matter how long I stand there.

It was always successful when  I first installed it, so any help is appreciated.

I really appreciate not having to do the low level grind every play through. I just wish all the other NPC's would get a boost in level as well. Kind of silly going in to bash some level 1's when you start off boosted. I haven't yet found another mod to do just level NPC's to you without some other random stuff involved.

Awesome mod! Just a warning - if you use Timing is Everying, set your levels BEFORE levelling up with this mod.

Can you make a custom class option like in Oblivion? Is there an easy way to edit the classes ourselves?
    Edit-
Looks like you can just double-click the skills for a dropdown menu to swap skills in SSEEdit. Best edit a class with enough slots in the Spellbook to swap the same way to start with what you need.
    Great Mod!

I used SSEEdit found YANAN, FormID List, yananSkillListClassYouWantToEdit, FormIDs, Double-click FormID #X then you will see a drop-down arrow on the right of the cell so you can scroll and select a Skill to replace in the slot. FormID #0-2 should be the 3 Major Skills and #3-6 should me the Minor.

yananSpellListSameClassYouEdited you can do the same double-click + drop down to swap out the spells you want it to start with.
