    how did you manage to get a rigged version of her into skyrim?

      Well, she actually came from 2 different Bayonetta follower mods. There was one from a guy from China that was the Bayonetta 2 Bayo, but only her face and glasses, but regular Skyrim clothes. The other one was a guy on Patreon and LL (both folks credited on the description page) that did the follower with the actual model of Bayonetta, that I believe he got from one of those 3D modeling sites, because she looks far too detailed to have come from the game (I think).

      Here's an old "family photo" of the two of them, from last year, and a couple more from along the way, with some details about the process:

      The problem with the Bayo that he rigged is that he had to smoosh her down to fit into a Skyrim skeleton, so she has a huge ass, and she can't turn her head, move her mouth, or have any expressions at all (and other things).



      My awesome friend who got me into Skyrim VR and helped me set up my mods knew I was bummed about how the whole Bayonetta adventure played out, and had a great idea. He'd take the Bayo 2 follower and cut loose the BigBayo suit, and shrink it down to fit a Skyrim character, and basically mold and tailor it to fit a CBBE body, and put it on her.














      He worked at it for hours and hours. For days. While it worked, wonderfully, I still didn't exactly have the Bayonetta I wanted, but at that point I was basically on my own:


      So I went about redesigning her face and finding a new (not so great) hairstyle that would go under the beehive, which led me to this, which is the version 1 that I uploaded at the beginning of the month:



      I also brought back the Bayonetta 1 glasses, once I realized they were wrong (Bayo 2 glasses above).

      and now, after lots of work on my own, and a new hairstyle, finally this:

    hey i know this is a weird question but i downloaded the patreon version and for some reason she has no eyes??? i want two bayonettas in my game and yours work wonderfully but the patreon version have literally no eyes.. did you encounter such issue? any known fixes? thanx and sorry for asking about a mod that isn't yours lol

    I loaded in the requirements and this mod just fine. I made a new character to test it out and she doest show up in Dragon's Reach. :(

      Did you get this worked out or try spawning her through the console? Haven't had any reports of that.

      She doesn't have any scripts (yet). If you've done it successfully with other followers, the answer is probably. The only thing to look out for is her DAR folder:

      meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\Orange_Bayonetta.esp\00001835

      If it changes her form ID (above) you will need to rename this folder for DAR to work. Unless you're on AE, then it doesn't work anyway.

      Let me know what happens so I can answer more definitively for the next person who asks.

      Now I'm leaning toward probably not, because a bunch of her animations are keyworded to only work with her weapons, and if something changes the form ID of the keyword, those will break too.

    I've been following the progress on this hoping you would fix the one issue I have and yet here you are at version 5.0 with her eyes still being seriously flawed. I'm really interested in this character and would like to take more creative screenshots with her but until her eyes are fixed, I just can't.  Hope I'm not sounding too harsh its just that with all the updates this mod has had, the only problem i see still exists.

      Hey buddy! I'd like you to take some more screenshots too. Have you brought this problem to my attention in the past? I don't recall that.

      Do me a favor and take me a couple good pics of the eye issue so I can better understand, and I will try to fix it. It's very difficult to do anything to a high poly head because the dots are so close together in Outfit Studio, and the tool only goes so small.

      I only know about the eye thing cos someone PM'd me about it:


      I'm still not clear on exactly where the issue is. Which one is the protrusion and which is her eyelid? Is it both eyes?

      Is there a mesh micro-surgeon in the house??

      Going to be honest with you bro... Version 5.0 appears to be the most flawed version so far. I would suggest keeping the new hair, go back to the 2.0 face and just fix the eyes and call it a day.  The pic above should give a better idea on how her eyes should look.

      When you say "most flawed version yet", are you referring specifically to her eyes still or perhaps something more wide ranging, like the fact that she looks like an alien now? I'm seriously considering your suggestion. I think when I redid her makeup, that did a lot for her, and that's definitely staying... but that's just the face tint file, which will look just as nice on her earlier pretty face.

      The face sculpting is very blocky along with the eyes. Whereas the face from my 2.0 screenshot appeared smoother from all angles.

      It sounds like your main gripe is with the high poly head, and imperfections introduced with the conversion process. I can make a low poly version of her with the new hair just for you screen archer guys, I guess. Are you even playing with her or care about any of the other stuff I added? I think it would be simple enough to take the old version of her and update the body nif with the new changes.

      I don't suppose you want to try fixing her eyes, do you? You're welcome to give it a shot. I'm just not going to waste hours of my time trying to fix something for folks too lazy to clearly spell out wtf it is that they want, and who are probably going to complain that it's not good enough when I'm done, anyway. While I do enjoy it, I work my ass off trying to make her better (prolly in the 100s of hours, by now) and as picky as I am, I think you guys are nuts. I look at her on a regular basis, in VR (which means a lot of her standing in my face when I turn around) and the eye thing has never even registered on my radar. Her blocky lips & chin sure did, and that's why she got a high poly head ...which I actually did with you in mind, ironically, thinking I was helping. The whole time after, I was kinda wondering why you weren't taking screenshots anymore. Meanwhile, you were wondering why I wasn't reading your mind and fixing the stuff you waited forever to mention. I only found out there was an issue with her eyes on December 31st, because someone PM'd me.

      It's kinda funny. You don't like the HP head. My friend who did all the early (hard) work on her (before she was ever on Nexus) likes to complain about her bangs, but you archer guys have never mentioned it. Then we have "make her look more like Bayonetta in the games" guy, which is what I tried to do and obviously failed at. Everybody has a different thing they don't like, but nobody can tell me exactly what they want me to do to make it better. I know maybe it's supposed to be my job as the modder to know that, but again, this is my first mod.

      It's all fine, and you're all right, and alright. I still love feedback, I still want to make everyone happy, but I'm not going to kill myself doing it. Want her eyes fixed? Get me a giant zoomed picture of each them, with every little imperfection circled. Then, I'll see what I can do, Seriously though, I'm not sure it can be fixed.

      Want a low poly version from before her eyes got messed up? That's fine too. I aims to please.

      This is *not* me saying not to mention issues or ask for things. I still want her to be the best I can make her, but I can only do what I can do.



      Her vertices are densely packed together (check out that blocky face sculpting, eh?), and that's the smallest the tool seems to go. At zero, it won't let me move anything. As you can see, even at .008 brush size, the circle is encompassing multiple dots, which means if I try to move one, they all move.

      If I'm just dumb or missing something, someone feel free to educate me.

      The one the right I made from a preset found on the page: Tiniaa Presets Pack  I only made slight adjustments to her mouth and used this picture below as a reference to her eye color and makeup. I used Mikan Eyes.  I didn't spend that much time on this and I don't think its perfect by any means but maybe this will help.

      I'm switching her back to the pre new year (but still HPH) face right now. I'm wondering, what happens if you replace the high poly head nif with the old 2.0 low poly head, would that work for you, or does it glitch out?

      As for your thoughtful effort above, I'm starting to realize that you don't really care what she looks like, as long as it is smooth.

      Not talking about the face, which certainly....has features... but are you not disturbed by the big ol' vanilla skyrim potatohead shape?? That's never gonna happen.....

      but I DO want to get you a version you're happy with, so let me know if the head switcheroo helps. It's 00001835.nif

      Try head #2 as well, if you would, and tell me if it's jaggy (other than the eyes, obv). I think that one isn't bad, face wise.

      Also there's no worse way to make your case than showing me a picture of Bayonetta 2, which is what I've spent this whole time converting her away from.LOL

      I tried messing around with the eyes as a test. This isn't the head I would actually use, just the last of the 4 extra heads I did (I deleted the 5th one, the alien one). I was going through smoothing them all a bit, and I just decided to do some experimenting on it.

      Let me know if this is anywhere close to what you expect for the eyes to look like. It's ok to tell me what's wrong with it, I just don't know if I'll be able to do much better. Like I mentioned, I also did a bunch of smoothing on the face (chin, cheeks), so let me know if it made any difference at all.

    Her textures seem to glitch from time to time, and you end up with long black poles extending from her into the terrain.

      Yes, AE.

      It's a generic texture bug. It usually goes away with disable/enable. I had to wait to get it again before I could screenshot it.

      that's strange. there's just a purple disk on her chest where the eye of chaos is.  that gold piece on her chest with the jewel. its indicating a texture issue on my end. not sure why I didn't change anything and nothing was overwritten. its obviously working for you though.

      It's ok bro, if you try to put anything in the PM post it usually sends you to captcha hell, so I upload pics to imgur and then just link them.

      Let me know what I can do to help with the texture thing. Maybe try manually copying it from the archive, in case the first one tripped and fell on the way into the Data folder. The textures you need are called clock_diffuse.dds and clock_normal.dds. Oh and I think it's actually called "Eyes of the World" a fact I only recall because I was having a festive time trying to google what you said.

      just tried loading it manually.  still showing a missing texture.  while we're at it what is the eye of the worlds mesh? because in when I try to alter the mesh in body slide the eye does change with rest of the outfit and ends up clipping into her boobs.

      The mesh is part of her outfit in Outfit studio. Try doing Load Project on CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderSets\Bayonetta Bodysuit CBBE SE.osp (do not open or do bodyslide on the other one).

      Otherwise, her bodysuit is bodysuitf_1.nif in the Armor folder. That's where you'll find the mesh.

      You can double click on it in OS to add the texture paths, either method.



      If you right click and open the image in a new tab, you can see it better.

      tried this. it did not work.  the clock on her chest is still purple. I can't view the texture in any way even in previews. I'm stumped

      Thanks, I tried both and there is still no change, so i am wondering if there is a pathway issue somewhere or a conflict with the stuff from the AE dlcs. to be clear I am using the special edition, but downgraded using the "best of both worlds" patcher so I still have all the DLC.

      and you have the new version of her, from yesterday, right? I removed a cubemap texture for the clock that I tried (it didn't do anything at all, but I forgot to remove it) so just n case that was the problem....

      I decided to err on the side of caution so I dismissed her, saved, disabled her, saved again, cleaned save (needed to do that anyway, lol), and then reinstalled the newest version of her from Nexus, and picked her up at Dragonsreach. Clock was there and working, but of course, I'm on Skyrim VR. I have regular-ass SE (i.e. no AE) for testing and it shows fine in that too.

      Let me know if the newest update didn't fix it, and I'll ask around in some mod discords to see if anyone has any ideas why it's happening.

      yes I was on the newest file. I am going to try reinstalling the mod.  I LOVE bayonetta and this is one of the most detailed followers I have ever seen so I NEED this to work. wish me luck

      re installed from the ground up on a clean save still has the same issue.  no idea at all at this point.

      edit: I found it! the issue was indeed the texture path!  the path in body slide was (textures\Bayonetta\....)

      it needs to be  (textures\_Bayonetta\armor\....) it was such a small thing I totally over looked it in editing. problem solved!

      Was this something you changed that broke it before, or something I need to fix on my end? When you say Bodyslide, do you mean Outfit Studio? I don't even know how to edit texture paths in Bodyslide, if that's a thing.

      NM, I figured out what was wrong. New version posted with the correction, and 2 other small fixes from today.
