What my mod changes: Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) is used to distribute the cutlasses to NPCs. This removes the need for any patches for other mods, but comes with the drawbacks listed below.
IMPORTANT DRAWBACKS:
- No weapons are replaced. Therefore, every NPC with a cutlass will also have their original weapon.
- NPCs will sometimes (rarely) choose to use their original weapon instead of the cutlass.

Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) by powerofthree.
Pirates Wield Cutlasses by Tate Taylor.
Install like any other mod (preferably using a mod manager).
Overwrite Pirates Wield Cutlasses.
Compatible with everything.
However, keep in mind that NPCs will likely use any weapons given to them by other mods if those weapons have better stats than the cutlass.
