This mod is AMAZING. I don't use any other skin re-textures or appearance mods and it still works great, if other people are worried about needing to use the recommended additional mods. True, it doesn't look exactly like the screenshots but I actually kinda like the gritty weird skyrim skin lol. But this mod makes some lovely tweaks to the housecarls to have more character and to look a little more "like themselves". Like I always felt Jordis's vanilla look didn't really work with her voice, but now she has a more sweet look to her. And I just love that it doesn't make them anime girls or super hotties either, like a lot of appearance mods. I almost never leave comments but just wanted to say thanks!!

    two issues I'm facing:
3.The Lydia dialogue expansion doesn't seem to work with this mod installed even with the patch.
2.And Lydia has these weird facepaints on her without the freckles I see in the screenshots.

Sounds like you have an issue with load order & are using Face Discoloration Fix as well. Make sure mod's files are loaded up after anh other NPC replacer that could be affecting Lydia. And of course, load the patch last. Check for conflicts in xEdit to make sure.

So should I load the Lydia dialogue patch last right? I'm not using any thing else that edits Lydia and should I keep face discolouration fix? without every NPC in the game has a discolour effect.

I've fixed the Lydia with no voice but she still has a weird facepaint thing on is there a way to fix it with having face discolouration fix?

Face Discoloration Fix is a bandaid for mis-matched loose files. If a lot of NPCs have discolored faces, it means that your loose files, i.e. the 3d model files & face tints for NPCs, are being overwritten by another mod. The order of your loose files for NPCs should generally match that of your .esp load order.

the face discolourtaion comes from me using CBBE and Himbo as bases and having skin mods over the top thats why it's causing the discolouration, Is there no patch uploaded for fixing it?

Sorry, I'm not sure why a body mod or skin textures would be causing an issue like that. This mod is pretty simple & should be compatible with any/all body mods & skin textures.

Dunno why but Lydia has strange facepants on her face.

I dont use any other NPC's overhauls.

Only 2 mods activated - hawke facepaint for males
    and tempered skins

Are you using Face Discoloration Fix? If you're seeing multiple face paints, that's usually the mod that causes it if your load order has a conflict around an NPC. Try moving my mod a bit lower in your load order & see if it gets fixed.

yes i use Face Discoloration Fix, but disabling it makes Lydia face - dark.

i put your mod latest in order - but still gate warpaints

i will try to explore it with SSEdit

Is there any chance of an installer or standalone files - some way to pick and choose. I'd kind of like to use Binjin Warmaidens for some and HH for others. Loading BW after HH doesn't seem to be cutting the mustard. Outstanding mod tho

Try checking out Easy NPC as a way to mix & match different appearance mods.

I'll check it out later today & upload a new version if needed.

EDIT: Patch still works perfectly with IFD Lydia 3.0!

All of these are great, but Valdmar especially looks really freaking cool.

Are there options that allow you to select which character design you want to use?

No, but you can try Easy NPC if you want to mix & match different character overhauls.

It's from an oldrim mod called TD18 Lore-Friendly Hair. There's a link to it on the description page if you want to download & convert it for personal use.

Lovely mod - may need to for my own save give one other follower 2H stuff if possible (want to have a Greatsword, Warhammer, and Battleax follower) but otherwise this is absolutely fantastic to give my housecarl their own identities. Probably good ol' Gregor. All weapon classes would be covered and different play styles.
