    Hey no mater what I do, I cant get the mod to work. I thought it was another mod conflict at first but ive tried it with each one off and still nothing. im not like a total modding genius but i do generally know what im doing. Does anyone have any ideas.? The ones i had that i thought were conflicts were apocalypse, conduit, and spellsiphon, but none of them changed anything. I still get the vanilla spell effects.

      Im using vortex and launching it through the sksevr.exe, but i still get the vanilla effects like just a flat fire texture in my hands and the dr strange looking circle doesnt show up when i cast either. i double checked and the dll is where its supposed to be in the plugins folder with the rest, did a reinstall too and nothing

      found out that the effects are from the 3d casting fx and not part of this mod so that works now, also got the angle working for palm casting so disregard

      yo bro did you figure out how to get the mod to work tho? i also cant get it to work no matter what i do and the DLL and INI files are also present in the skse plugin folder so im not sure what to do. i have used both opencomposite and openvr (steamvr) and it doesn't work on either of them.
      FYI im on a quest 3 with air link

    Is there any way to set the distance that the dual casting doesn't trigger? I wanna be able to trigger spells in two different hands at the same time without them combining unless my hands are close together.

    Would it be possible to add a feature that makes wards cast in the direction that your hands are facing vs the direction your body is facing?

    I cant chose between this really immersive mod OR Strange Runes.

    Would it be possible the make them compatible ?

      when I activate Magic Improvements for Skyrim VR no runes show. Deactivate and it shows again.

      Hmm they do seem to be working together for me. It's a little bit janky when dual casting but otherwise it works the same as without this mod activated. I'm using the latest version from this page

    ive been using this mod for awhile but the palm casting has never worked, and it feels like dual casting making the spell more powerful via moving hands away from eachother doesnt seem to have any effect. any idea what i could be doing wrong becuase everything else works fine, including the dual casting, it just doesnt seem like the spell scaling works, or the palm casting.

    Are there any known incompadible mods? I have a rather large list already and can't seem to get the effect to show in game.
    I tried using the basic spell flames, though maybe this mod doesn't change that since thats like a channel spell?
    I also tried using a code to get firbolt but could only equip firebolt to off hand...
    Maybe this is just error on my part

    For some reason, when I dual cast with this mod, I see a weird small looking string, rope, or stick that keeps spamming n spinning in the middle.
    Does anyone else have this issue? How do I fix this bug? Then again, it might be a different mod that's causing it. But I'm assuming it's this mod since the issue happened right after it.

      With which spells does this happen? Can you take a short video of the issue?

      This pretty much happens to all of my spells, all types. And ye sure, I can take a picture instead when I have the time.

      nice, I finally got the pic in
      sadly, i couldnt find a way to take a pic w/ out the main menu
      but if you pay attention at the middle of the fire spell, you see some 'stick' pointing out

      turns out, its some kind of weird hand gesture to cast a bound weapon
      dont know what mod thats from, prolly spellwheelVR
      but when I dualcast anything else than the gesture, the rope thingie shows up
      maybe has to do with the key bindings, anyways
      ill fully install the magic improvement mod in the future once i have my own headset

      Sorry I missed this before. Yes, I thought that might be it. Spellwheel has a few "summon bound weapon" gestures that are really nice for not having to equip the spell manually, I guess here you were triggering it on accident though.

    Hi FlyingParticle, very brand new skyrim vr player here. Yesterday, I was trying to get the yaw on (im assuming thats the one where the rotating circle thingie spawns above your palm), so I went in the config file for the magic improvement mod and changed MagicRotationYaw to -65. Now, I noticed right after that change, as soon as I join the game, my avatar is now just bending their back out (prolly screwed up the vrik mod I have on). Is there anything to fix this, to revert back to my original standing avatar position? Is the problem coming from the magic improvement mod or vrik or both??

      Alright, I just fixed my avatar by reinstalling vrik. However, although now I'm standing straight upright as I am irl, when I try to crouch, its still not fixed completely. Better than nothing. But about the magic improvement mod, I'll have to retry on that in the future. For now, I have it off.

    Hello, thank you for this mod, it makes magic feel very impactful and great. I'd like to ask if you'd be able to fix probably the greatest problem with VR magic, the wards. From what I understand, in vanilla the ward is created from two parts, the outer halo, which is always fixed to your screen/face, and the inner fx piece, which is fixed to your hand. In VR this is very buggy, since VRIK detaches your "head" and that makes the ward spawn at an offset to where you're facing, and the hand fx piece tends to bug and sometimes stays in your hand in a weird position even after ending the spell. I'm not skilled modder, but from my limited knowledge i think the way to do it would be try to detach the ward from head position and instead attach to hand crosshair (it can remain fixed distance and only spinning around the player based on where the controller is pointing, doesn't have to be a literal "shield" you'd wave around with your hand) and if possible attach the centerpiece to the main effect instead, if not, just leave it in hand and make it always face away from the headset.

      and were is the destruction perk for destruction duel casting cause i got the duel casting skill for the skill menu but its not working

      misvr.ini is the name of the ini. By default its in Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR\SKSE\Plugins
      If your using mod organizer 2 then its located in your mods folder under mods\Magic Improvements for Skyrim VR\SKSE\Plugins
