Looks really nice, well decorated and has all the amenities without being overdone. But items are constantly falling everywhere because of havok settling.
Nicely done without being over done. I don't understand why this mod doesn't see more downloads and endorsements. Perhaps the .bsa naming issue stops some? Loaded with a new game as directed, renamed the .bsa to match the .esp, and it works perfectly. I've tried TNF and others, but his is now my go-to Honeyside.
Maybe if the pictures had better light so you could see what was done. My big issue is the lack of statics so you have stuff being knocked over all the time.
I have the same problem others have had thus far. I am barely using any mods, started 3 new games and even changed the .esp and .bas file names to the same name as suggested below but still nothing. I can buy it but I only get the vanilla building options as well as the actual vanilla furnishings. Does this mod require other mods like SKSE64? Because otherwise it really isn't working for me and I don't know what else to do. I hope someone can help me but thank you for the time reading this in any case.
OK for anyone having the same problem as me, here is how I fixed the issue:
1. Extract the SimplyHoneyside.esp and the SimplyHoneysideScripts.bsa 2. Rename the SimplyHoneysideScripts.bsa to the same name as the .esp (e.g. just use "SimplyHoneyside" for both .esp and .bsa) 3. Select both files and re-package them into a .zip or .rar file with the appropriate program (e.g. I use WinRAR) You can name the .zip file whatever you want it to appear as in NMM (e.g. I called it "Simply Honeyside V 1.2a") 4. Once the.zip file is created put it where you store your other mods and add the file manually via NMM by clicking on the green plus and selecting "Add Mod from File". 5. If everything worked correctly you should have the two newly named .esp and .bsa files in the "Data" folder.
Most archive apps (like 7zip or whatever) will allow you to open the archive and change the file name of the .bsa without having to extract and re-package.
Download manually.
Open archive.
Rename .bsa
Close archive.
Install the archive using your favorite mod manager.
Nice detail and layout, it really flows. I especially like how you put the cooking pot on its own heat source, I always disliked how that thing covered up a beautiful fireplace. Your way it's a much better view than someone's backside stooping over a cook pot. :)
Renamed the .bsa to the same name as the .esp, adding it to an ongoing game, the mod loaded fine. However, the main entrance door is standing freely in the middle of the room instead of being integrated normally into the wall. Since i'm not using any other Honeyside or Riften mods I'm quite convinced that it is a problem with Simply Honeyside. So I had to deinstall it. Which is a pity as I liked the overall restrained modifications.
Never could get it to work. Loaded 1.2, Started new game, went straight to Reeften, bought various upgrades. Child's bedroom was empty, kitchen was empty and cobwebby. Only room that worked consistently was the bedroom.
So, I'm having some trouble... The Steward won't let me purchase the furnishings for the house. I got the bedroom and the alchemy lab, but when I try to select the other options, the steward gives the regular speech, but no money changes hands, and when I return to the house, there's no furniture other than bedroom, alchemy lab and housecarl's room.
Uninstalled 1.2 and got 1.0 instead, and now I could get all the furniture, minus of course the guest room. There seem to be some issues with wandering mannequins, though.
Have you installed it on a new game? Installing the mod on a existing game causes these problems.. Please read the install note in description for info.
I love this mod. Just the right amount of change to fix the problems I have with the vanilla version but not too over the top. Unfortunately I've already gone inside before installing it and the previous hard save is some hours back. So I could only check out the rooms that were still working for the other rooms I have the same issue as MaiaManess. It's a shame it is not possible to install it afterwards.
The problem is that the quest - HousePurchase initializes as soon as you start the game. What that means is that all the globals and scripts are already initialized, and registered in your save files, there is no way to change or update them afterwards. That's why installing the mod midgame causes some problems as the mod is integrated with HousePurchase quest.
This is exactly the Honeyside make over I was looking for. Has that original Honeyside feel to it but much improved. The only thing that kind of throws me off(but really isn't that big a deal) is the orientation of the basement rooms vs the rest of the house. Either way, nice to have a place to stash Inigo rather than fetching him from the jail all the time.

Thanks! Endorsed!

HoneysideTNF does not have this door problem.
Perfect, with same name BSA and ESP the mod is ok

Bravo, well done.
