Let me know if anyone likes the Enhanced versions.

Also if anyone cares can you send some screenshots using the mod? I'm interested on what they look like ingame.

From now on only making Enhanced textures and normal-sized cleaned textures.

Creating Multiple versions of textures is killing my brain and patience but also seems just upscaling Clean textures makes alpha textures slightly pixilated while when I create enhance cleaned textures it does not. This is not noticeable unless you look really close but because I like textures that are smooth and not slightly pixilated that's why I am making this choice.

Enhanced textures will come at a later date because I need to take the time to figure out what stuff I need to use to increase the quality of textures even more.

Tbh either use Cleaned or enhanced textures.

Normal clean should be enough for now but you can still use older textures if you like.

Got permission to use Calebs Amiddenborn textures and Clearance Clarence textures to make the textures better.

Last major update except for minor texture changes in the future.

For now only 2k and 4k has been updated. I forgot to modify textures to match the original size but its fine for now since lot of the textures were 512 x 512 so just use 2k because that's pack is mostly vanilla-sized textures.

Edit: I forgot to add loose files so did a quick update

Hello, sorry for the noob question but how do you properly install the main file?

I know that for the optional one, replace the BSA in the main apocalypse mod.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Edit: Nevermind figured it out.

Personally I didn't like this mod. It caused heavy "flickering". Normally fire just sort of "burns" and is constantly present. But with this both candles and fire magic "flicker" on and off. It makes it look like the magic is sputtering out.

It also took me quite a while to figure out, no idea why this mod would affect candles and stuff. (Though I guess it makes sense it would affect fire magic)

Strange, my guess its a conflict or a hidden one. Hidden conflicts are the worse since can't exactly tell what is causing the issue without disable and re-enabling any texture mods you have.

Also if you happen to find the texture causing it can you let me know? I might be able to fix it since it could have been a texture that did not fully get completed when doing the cleaning process.

Ok so coming back to this a while I might now a slight fix.

You have to use the loose textures and try and find the texture that is effecting the candles and other things. Then you repack it into a BSA so it no longer affects what is giving you issues.

No clue why be doing that since I only did textures that were only in this mod.

[Ps] Most likely done with upscaling mods anyways. Non recently worth upscaling and if there was it already has cleaned textures which are also enhanced that AI will do nothing to affect it. Plus with enough money I got from points I have enough to start upgrading PC and working on actual Skyrim mods though most likely just one but will be pretty neat to have.

Probably upscale Enai's mods if they release anymore since they use base game textures and not new ones so that's only reason to upscale it.

I don't understand the install method here.  I can download the file via MO2, but it won't simply drop the texture BSA into the appropriate folder in the Apocalypse mod zip file, nor can I simply load it as a mod in itself and have it load after Apocalypse, because the file structure isn't the same.  I've literally tried the first way and the textures BSA is still listed as having the date of the original file, not the file from this mod.

Do I have to install it manually even if downloaded via  MO2?

The problem is that it's got a folder that the BSA is inside, rather than just being a BSA file inside the zip file.  If it were that I could just have it overwrite the original text BSA for Apocalypse.  With that folder in there, there's simply no way for me to install the BSA via MO2.  I have to open folders, drop the new BSA into the zip file for Apocalypse, then install Apocalypse.

Surely the folder should be removed to allow installation purely within MO2?

      Um, yeah idk.

Should work if your deleting the BSA texture and replacing with this one. Had no one else report these issues.

Yeah, it seems like I can manually drop your texture BSA into the original mod's zip file, then install, but I was hoping to have a more MO2-friendly way to install it.

If you delete the unnecesary folder and just have the BSA in the zip file, it will essentially mirror the original mod's structure, and you can either (1) install it via MO2 as its own mod with its own name, ensuring it comes after the original mod in the load order, or, more logically, (2) install it with the same name as the original mod, and when MO2 asks, choose "Merge" so that your texture BSA will overwrite the original mod's texture BSA.

Just an FYI, neither WinRAR nor 7-zip require a folder to pack something, just select the files, right click and select 'Add to archive'

Well, BSA is still the better way to install this.

Well maybe, I don't use it so probably be last on my list and the original author Holugar has not been online since June this year so I would have to wait for them to be online to ask if I can upload the clean/upscale versions of the textures.

Plus got about 15 mods to try and push out but I will try and remember that.

Just out of curiosity, how come your cleaned texture bsa is bigger than the original one in data size?

BSA for some reason is always slightly bigger than a version that's loose files. Think its because it's in a small package it uses bit of data to make sure its compact. Noticed this with every BSA I do. Has all the textures and double checked so most likely its just because its a bsa.

Oh I meant how come it is bigger than original texture bsa that came with Apocalpyse mod itself, not the main file on this page. Since you said you cleaned the texutres and will slightly help fps, I assumed it would be smaller in data size than the original uncleaned textures.

      Ah ok.

Nah cleaning just means the bad compression [if there was any] was fixed and saved in a better DDS format.

      Check this out:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64745

Unless you have sounds in the BSA, you actually CAN compress it for smaller filesize.

So I tried the 2k BSA replacer and my Xiviali sorcerers had no bodies. Switched back to the default and the problem was gone.

      Try using the loose edition.

All the textures are there so should not be happening.

    Hello...

I'm using old "Apocalypse Enhanced True 2k" - should I update your mod? (I have no idea if there is any difference between these versions).

      If you want.

Won't damage the game since its just textures.

This is just a better version since I checked every texture to make sure it looks good

I really appreciate the work you put into these but if you could please give a bit more description on what is recommended, your version 1 or version 2 textures it would help. It isn't quite as clear in the d/l section what is 2K versus 4K and what 2X means in relation to 2K. Any additional info would be really appreciated.

Thank you, endorsed all the files I d/l so far and kudos.

Yeah it is confusing which is why in the future I am updating with only 2k and 4k option.

The non enhanced are just regular upscales.

the ones with X's means its either twice or four times the normal size.

      I recommend any 2k version

Made this visible again since been getting friend invites ever since I hid this so my guess people want this visible so here.

I will hide it once I begin uploading the textures....which will be a while.

    Hi,

I understand that installing "Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim 2k" version does not need to install the main version?

Correct, you only need one version of any of the choices.
