   how do you recolor the atherium gem? Ive looked everywhere in the nif files but I cant find the texture for blue gem glow that the aetherium blue comes from. Its almost like bethesda hardwired the color with a color code rgb in programming

      If I remember correctly, its effected by cubemaps.
      
      The texture that makes things have a colored shine.

      aw man thats a big hint. so maybe it is the caveicecubemap. I thought it wasnt but I might need to test it

   i'm confused with the optionals, can you explain what textures each one contain exactly ?
   the main download has 1k textures ?
   2k has 2k textures ?
   2x has 4k textures ?
   4x has 8k textures ?

      Please dont do 4x. 8k is meant for screen shots only not gameplay.

      That's only true if you're a coward! I use 8k textures for everything with a stable 6 fps!

      2k is just bigger texture with more detail.
