I love this mod which has been on my list for a very long time. In my quest for perfection ^^! I noticed that the rivebois shack let the light through the walls but also on the floor. Is it correctable or not ? Thank you in advance for your answer.
I have used this since way back when and mostly used them for Merchants and training but decided to take it a step further. So, I got out the Ck and changed a few hair styles I personally don't care for and bam, I have new followers that I like even better. My favorite follower is now Samara. Thanks for a great mod.
Hi... loving the mod so far, it really works great. Just a minor bug report, my character is currently at level 25 Sneak, however Alawen is saying there is nothing further she can teach me. All of the other followers from the mod have taught me to 100 without issue.
Hmm, that's odd. I'm not seeing any discrepancies in the CK when comparing Alawen's training dialogues and scripts to the others. So, I'm not sure what is causing Alawen's Sneak training to bug out. I'll continue to look into this and see if I can find out why that is happening.
Edit: So, I started a new game with only Friends in Skyrim and Alternate Start enabled, and Alawen is offering training as usual. So, there is a mod conflict happening. Only way to be sure of the culprit is to test one by one.
Has anybody else had an issue where the dialogue to train disappears with some people after hitting level 100? I typically legendary my skills later in the game and use the pickpocket trainer method to level both but can't. Also Alanwen won't train me in sneak regardless of what my sneak actually is. This is at the bottom of my load order.
When completing the quest Dawguard - Beyond Death, Valerica should lead you to Boneyard to give you a scroll. Unfortunately, Valerica is standing still, you can not do the quest. When I uninstall FiS - everything works great.
Hello, I don't know why there would be a conflict since this mod only requires the base game. It shouldn't interfere with any DLC content since this mod doesn't touch anything in the DLC. As for your game continuing to work after removing the mod, I don't know what to tell you; maybe the load order could be re-arranged.
If you have other follower mods you might put FiS above the other ones to rule out possible conflict with those. Otherwise you can put it at the end or near the end.
A handful of mods seem to bug that quest. The easiest fix IMO is to just open console at the chest valerica opens, click on the chest and type "disable" & the scroll is available to pick up wich should let you progress through the quest.
I absolutely adore these characters. They look fantastic and fit so seamlessly with the game while providing some much appreciated variety and inclusiveness to the spouse/follower/merchant list.
Thank you very much for this! Endorsed and tracked. :)
Question: is it possible to have a version of this without the added new items/spells or modified areas? Maybe just have the NPCs traveling in specific holds/hanging out at the inns across Skyrim? Love these new friends but I'm not sure I can have them around when I use city/town overhauls.
I really like this mod. I've been going to the Riverwood shack for one-handed training since I loaded this mod, after Amren could no longer train me. I like that there are additional marriageable followers, and it's fun to meet new "friends" along the way. I've not met them all yet!
I started getting massive problems in Whiterun, from slowdowns to crawls to constant CTDs. They all went away when I disabled this mod. I had no idea at first that it had anything to do with this. I just started unticking mods one by one and seeing if I could walk through Whiterun, going in and out of shops. I could not do so with it installed and could without, but that doesn't mean a lot. What I mean is I have 169 mods installed at the moment and have sometimes run the maximum, so it could have anything to do with a combination of this mode and any one of the others.
This mod does makes edits to the WhiterunWorld cell, so it is possible that it's conflicting with any other mods you have that also make edits to the same cell.
I thought about that, but I don't "knowingly" have any other mods that make edits to Whiterun. That's not to say some of the mods I use don't do that without my knowing. I don't investigate all the code on everything I run. I can say I wasn't running any Whiterun mods when this came up. It's a shame because I'd frankly rather play the game without this mod than spend the time and enegry to figure out which mod it is going up against and then decide between the two.
This mod isn't classified as a "Whiterun" mod either, so you could be using others mods that edit parts of Whiterun without them mentioning it on their compatibility details. I have compatibility details listed on the description that this mod may be incompatible with areas that edit the same cells, so people who use this mod won't be surprised when there are mod conflicts in the same area. Well, you won't hurt my feelings if you don't play with this mod installed.
I have confirmed this is CTDing my game as well. I am working through my mods to try and find WHICH mod it is conflicting with. But definitely worth a notice.
Also, I have placed this mod all the way at he top and bottom of my load order, still CTDs so definitely a conflict going on.
**EDIT**
Okay looks like these mods conflict in sseedit: Cutting Room Floor - Disabling doesn't fix CTD BirdsOfSkyrim_SSE - Disabling doesn't fix CTD breezehome_basement - Disabling doesn't fix CTD
There's some minor conflict with Beautiful Cities - Disableing doesn't fix CTD TeleportSpells - Disableing doesn't fix CTD
So, while they conflict in SSEEDIT they aren't the cause of the CTD.
What's interesting about all this, is that this was working fine for me for the longest time, but I updated a few mods over the last week, and suddenly I am now having issue. Will continue investigating.
**EDIT 2** OKay, being that I am up to 175 plugins at this time, I am not sure which one is the CTD conflict culprit for this mod. I may come back to this in the future, but am just going to disable this for now. Keeping it tracked in case someone figures out what is causing the CTD.
Of the mods you listed, I'm only using Cutting Room Floor and haven't had conflict issues alongside it. I did however notice in Cutting Room Floor's newest update that the water flow data has been changed to match the updates of SSE, so, I've uploaded a new version to reflect the changes. I don't know if those changes will remedy the crashes that you've been experiencing, but the water data update had to happen.
Glad to hear you found a working version at least. The change that was made to 1.3 was flagging the Drunken Huntsman as a public area, but it seems as if it's really not necessary to add to the mod. Originally, I modded that in because Immersive Citizens would change it to a private area that would cause your character to be trespassing if you were there from 12am - 8am, but oh well, I'd rather have a working mod for you all, so I'm going to revert back to 1.2 but, I still need to make those water data edits, so the version will be called 1.2.1. So, if you could test that out again, I'd be grateful! Thanks for the help in identifying the culprit.

Your mod is amazing ...
Unfortunately, I found a serious conflict.

Can you fix this?
Regards
I will try to do what you advised me.

Edit
Immersive Cities has a conflict with FiS. I had to put FiS over the IC and everything works great :)

**EDIT**
Nope, no luck, still CTD in whiterun.
**EDIT 2**
GOOD NEWS, on a whim I decided to downgrade the version back to 1.1, NO CTD! Checking 1.2 now to see if it works.
**EDIT 3**
Excellent news, 1.2 works. SO, whatever changes you made between 1.2 and 1.3 are what is causing the CTD!
I am going to stick with 1.2 now, as it's stable for me, and I definitely like this mod. ^_^b
