I just wanna go ahead and say this to be clear for incoming comments post AE release.
When AE releases the new update to SE will break SKSE and every SKSE plugin that relies on hooks. This is because Bethesda has recompiled SE with VS2019 instead of 2015. SKSE plugins post AE will need to be remade if they use a hook, which this one does.
NO, this cannot be fixed by simply recompiling the plugin in VS2019. That is not how things work. The hook locations will need to be re RE'd for the new version entirely.
I have released a Beta version for 1.6.X. Keep in mind this is a Beta, so keep a save backup just in case. Nothing has gone wrong in my testing so far, but I wanted to make that clear just to be sure.
Important info:
This mod spoofs Survival Mode. This WILL enable Survival Mode. If you do not want this, then use Parapet's mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59049
Also keep in mind, with Incremental Injuries's esp installed, the Attribute Bars (Health/Stamina/Magicka) will no longer be used by Survival Mode. They will be controlled by this mod, and will now reflect your injuries instead of needs. If you do not want this, then delete the esp included.
I have not personally tested this on the most recent version of Skyrim (1.6.342). I know there were some small engine changes. Hopefully they do not interfere with this mod.
Not sure if it's me or intended, but as it is adding +magicka items increases your pool even if it would normally drop to 0.
Is there a way to have the total spent Magicka count for a negative value, so when the max gets drained with + Magicka items equipped, taking them off and putting them back on will keep it dropped?
I'm on og 1.5.97 and was testing the mod. I can't get the hud elements working, but i'm using character stats mod, so i was checking from the ui and at least values were dropping. Wonder if there's way to get hud working somehow? There was no mention how to get stats back to normal, but resting seemed to do that. Idea of mod is brilliant.
Hey! Wondering if anybody knows how to remove the sun icon showing up on the top right of the screen, next to the compass. It doesn't seem to do anything so I'm confused on it's purpose?
I am sorry, maybe I am just too stoned but I have spent 30 minutes reading this mod page and I can not wrap my head around how it affects Survival Mode.
Initially I had downloaded Survival Control Panel and Survival Mode Improved SKSE. Now that I am back here, I feel like I misread something. Is this mode and Survival Mode Improved fighting over the 3 mentioned spoofs in the description?
There is a lot I want to accomplish in regards to adding a lot more thought, but not necessarily mechanical difficult if that makes sense. I swapped iNeed for Survival Mode Improved SKSE, I dropped wounds for this and Injuries for both PC AND NPCs although I do miss the animation addon that wounds got. I ditched Spell Research for Spell Learning and Discovery. the theme is I'm swapping out detailed and complex mods that add new types of gameplay for simpler and more dummy proof versions (I'm the dummy).
So, am I on the right track? Does this still work with Survival Mode Improved SKSE or does the dummy esp diminish some of those survival features? Does unchecking the dummy esp take away something from this mod? Should I just forget this and go for Incremental Gains, tjh4m mods, or some combination of other mods to create this?
I'm gonna read this tomorrow and feel so dumb I bet
Ersh said in a PM that he hopes to change the way TrueHud functions in a later update so that something like this can work with it. As of now it only looks at the base values instead of what this uses. Here's to hoping it gets updated soon.
While it'd be cool to get, it's not totally necessary either. Just disable the incremental injuries esp, and let truehuds dynamic scaling show you how much injury you have. Not perfect but it works: Survival/Starfrost fatigue is the red line, while the bars shrinking is injuries.

my skse co-save got shafted and I can't seem to restore the previously lost bars by resting
