I'm looking ingo just making a fake round metal pressure plate that will completely overwrite the vanilla ones. So far, every previous attempt has just caused crashing.
EDIT: I just realized, the tags list needs a "Just Plain Mean" option.
i'm in the game i'm looking at this So-Called-Trap tripwire.. that is so obvious they might as well have flashing lights and a neon arrow pointing to it.
i downloaded the regular version, in my opinion the tripwire is harder to notice, its about 33% harder to detect (just a guess).. at first i couldn't see them at all, they blended in the with the environment pretty good, but once my eyes got used to seeing it, they all became very obvious to me, i would like the next level version 66% transparent. i dont want the 100% transparent one, i want there to be a chance, if im looking real careful to see it.
the vanilla pressure plate is stupid, they put that symbol on it, only a total newb would step on it. you improved it one level by taking that symbol off.
you tried to further improve it by making the plate small rocks, but it becomes very obvious in the dungeon that there are no random small rocks anywhere, so when i see a pile of small rocks, i know its the trap.
I appreciate the mod as it does what its supposed to. Im just commenting this for those that dont know. The ancient nords built those to keep draugr in, not keep people out. So hiding traps just makes it harder for the living to escape death. Which is the opposite of what the ancient nords want. Just in case people care a lot about back story. If im wrong, I apologize, I just always thought that was the purpose of those dungeons.
I chose the "Sovngarde Edition" and the best thing about it is that you don't even need to use the texture. Since it's using an already existing texture path from the games floor you can just install the mesh alone and provided your Nordic Ruins texture of choice doesn't change meshes/paths you can match it to your chosen Nordic Ruins overhaul. I uploaded an image with it using "Skyland AIO's" Nordic Ruins floor texture to perfectly match my already existing ruins overhaul. "Watch your step folks," awesome mod and endorsed thank you.
I've never really had troubles with traps, so sovngarde edition was the obvious choice. I install this and start a new playthrough. Moving through a bit, I get hit during the golden claw quest when Arwen runs and get a good chuckle. Fast forward again after I start dawnguard and begin the first quest for the Volkihar side of things where there's that little corner with 3 or so traps staggered in the skooma den, and my entire playstyle changed.
I hit them, and died, one by one until I found every single trap... And then I still think I triggered one by accident in an angry haste despite knowing they're all there. In a span of 3 minutes I think I triggered more traps than I've done in all my hours of skyrim.

Just a thought, I''m not at all lore-knowledgeable. There are also traps aplenty in bandit hideouts as well.
(get it? bc its trap mod? ehhh whaddyu kno)
lol
Is this mod compatible with the mod "lethal traps"?
Thank you
Love that the traps are not easy to spot....and I hate it when I step on one!
Glad you ported it over to SSE.
