About this mod

The goal of this mod is to make magic available to non-magic characters.
All merchants now sell a small number of scrolls respective to their trade.
Compatible with ALL magic mods.
Inns offer Restoration scrolls, Fletcher sell Conjuration scrolls, Alchemists offer Alteration scrolls, etc.
Scrolls are balanced around level.

Changelogs
Use wyre bash and this mod will work with almost any other mod.
This mod will not use up one of the 250
esp/esm slots. You can safely add it to your colossal load order. It likes to be low in the list.

Potion of Healing - Restores 50 hp. Instantly heals you from the menu, Costs 36 gold. Sold by Arcadia in Whiterun.
Completely reasonable. Easy to buy, easy to make, buffed by alchemy skills. The standard healing item.

Scroll of Fast Healing - Restores 45 hp. Not instant. Requires you to unequip whatever is in your hand and cast the spell to use. Costs 50 gold.
Sounds like a more balanced alternative to Potion of Healing. Maybe I could use this instead of the hundreds of mods that try to balance potions. How can I get it?
Sold only by Colette Marence in the College of Winterhold after joining the college.

This mod exists to change that.

Scrolls for Sale(SFS) makes most merchants stock a small selection of scrolls respective to their trade.
Now your thief/warrior/knight/bard/non-magic focused character can stock up on single use spells before going dungeon diving without having to join the college of winterhold.
The scrolls offered are based on your characters level so you won't find Master spell scrolls for sale at level 1, but inns and general stores sometimes stock random higher level scrolls.

Scrolls for Sale does not turn every vendor into a court wizard.
Merchants only sell what they think their customers would want.
The Drunken Huntsman will offer scrolls that make you quieter or summon a wolf companion to help with the hunt but won't stock fireball scrolls for obvious reasons.
Scrolls are still rare but more available than in vanilla.

The following NPC's have a small chance to sell magic scrolls along with regular items.
Innkeepers: healing and weak buff scrolls.
Alchemists: buff/debuff scrolls.
Blacksmiths: Fire/Cloak scrolls.
Fletcher: Summoning/Stealth scrolls.
General Goods: Random scrolls.
Khajiit Caravans: Random Scrolls, more and better quality than any above.

Compatibility:
This mod was built with MAXIMUM compatibility in mind. It makes changes to lists not normally touched by other mods.
If a compatibility problem occurs bash or smash patching should resolve it.

VR:
Compatible.

SAVED GAMES:
Compatible.

MAGIC MODS:
100% Compatible without patching.
SFS will work with any magic mod. No patches needed.
As long as the mod adds scrolls to the regular mage merchants those scrolls have a chance of showing up for sale.
You will need to use a bashed patch if you want to use multiple magic mods to merge them but that's the magic mods problem.
If the mod changes the base game spells the scrolls will be updated as well.
Example
If you have Apocalypse installed the vanilla oakflesh scrolls will give 40 armor instead of 20(default).

COMBAT OVERHAUL MODS:
Compatible. NPC's might have a higher scroll drop chance depending on how the mod works.
Wildcat/High Level Enemies/TD Dodge/anything else are all untouched by this mod.
Know your Enemy works great with this mod.

CITY OVERHAUL MODS:
Compatible but custom NPC's added or changed by the city mod might not sell scrolls. Depends on the mod.

FROSTFALL/CAMPFIRE/SURVIVAL MODS:
Compatible.

CRAFTING/COOKING/ALCHEMY OVERHAUL MODS:
Compatible but requires a bashed patch.
CACO requires a bashed patch.
CCOR does not need to be bashed patched.

SFS changes what NPC's sell and these mods usually do the same.
Without a bashed patch to merge conflicts SFS will overwrite these mods, or be overwritten by them making the mod useless.
If you don't want to bash patch and don't mind merchants not selling specific mod items, move SFS to the bottom of your load order.

ECONOMY OVERHAUL MODS:
Theoretically compatible but depends on the mod and 100% requires a bashed patch.
Economy Overhaul and Speechcraft Improvements - Works with bashed patch but may have minor bugs like price reduction perks not working, nothing major like CTD's . Currently testing.
Trade and Barter - Theoretically compatible with a bashed patch but needs testing.
Trade Routes - Regional Economy SE - Not compatible because the mod makes changes to the vanilla merchant factions. This mod won't work if the factions are changed. A bashed patch won't fix this.

Spoiler:

Same reasoning as above.
This mod needs all vendors to be able to buy and sell scrolls so mods that also interact with what NPC's sell may break or break this mod.

LOOT/DIFFICULTY MODS:
MLU/OMEGA/OWL/etc.
Compatible but requires a bashed patch.

PERK OVERHAULS:
Compatible. No patch needed,

Suggested comparable mods:
Magic-
Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim
Arcanum - A New Age of Magic
Phenderix Magic Evolved
The Elder Scrolls - Tomebound - Lore Spell Additions
Shadow Spell Package
Calling of the Conjurer
Graphics-
Retexture for The Scroll SE
Support coming soon:

ScrollScribe SE - A Scroll Crafting Mod
I tried to make a patch for this but it's to complex and weirdly enough it might be working with the mod already.
I don't have the time to a long test but I THINK ScrollScribe scrolls are showing up for sale without me having to change anything.
Please let me know in the comments if you use this mod and if it works with SFS.

FAQ:
How do I bash patch this mod?
Download and run Wrye Bash.
Find bash patch 0 or make a new bashed patch. Rebuild it and press OK, then let it run.

How do I know the mod is working?
Go to an inn, they should have scrolls for sale.

Nobody is selling scrolls what's wrong?
Something is overwriting this mod, use a bash patch or put this last on your load order.

Did you make any other mods?
Yes. Check out my minor difficulty tweak Slightly Harder Skyrim

I'm a mod maker as well, Can I...
Sure.
