Thank you for the work you've done for this mod, it's wonderful.
I'm an Aeonbarr enthusiast, but after doing some troubleshooting to get it and Simplest Horses to shake hands, it seems that the quest we do to get Aeonbarr, either in full or by using the skip method, doesn't "claim" the horse which allows us to use the features in Simplest Horses. Since it seems like that's more of an issue on Aeonbarr's end, I'll be posting this solution over there as well.
For those of you that like Aeonbarr and Simplest Horses, you can get the two to cooperate by doing the following in your console;
Click on Aeonbarr and enter the following line - addtofaction 68D78 4
This sets your horse into the PlayerHorseFaction at Rank 4. You do need the rank number in there. I don't know if it has to be 4.
Now the horse should respond to commands and inventory access while retaining any customization options.
Aeonbarr can also wear Elrian/Witcher saddles by setting his equipment to the No Saddle option and using the spell in ElrianSaddles to put a new one on.
Sooooooooo I opened up good ol sseedit and I looked at how dynamic activation key and take a peek worked. looks like it just uses perk conditions to set a global variable (among other things) to tie into dak. I really wanted to make a patch for this mod, but I only know how to do simple record changes. I am not skilled enough to figure it out :( . looks very doable if you or someone else wants to take a crack at it. I'm going to use steam input as a workaround for now.
Is there any option for the enemy to ignore the horse during combat? There is a setting for the horse to ignore combat, but the enemy may still attack it. I mainly use horse for traveling and carry my stuffs.
A solution for those who use the Craftable Horse Barding mod but cannot equip a Saddle on their horse.
Place the Saddle in your horse's inventory. Then search for "help saddle 0" on the console. Get the ID number of the saddle you want to use from the list that appears. Select your horse via the console. Then type equipitem xx(saddle-id)xx into the console.
After reading the description my only question is - what happens if you claim/buy/find and catch another horse? Longer explanation - I love the Wild Horses creation mod where you buy a map and then catch you a horse and tame it.... however if you then catch/claim/buy another horse the first one runs back to it's original area (you can ride it again without having to catch it) but the only thing I liked about Convenient Horses was the ability to tell my horse that this area is home. I would like it if this mod could set a home area for my horses so i can find the one's I'm not riding easily (Conventien Horse Herding does the same thing but hasn't been ported to SE)
I used Simple Claim Horse to claim a horse that I found. It was not stolen, it belonged to a dead bandit (I didn't kill it) and it appeared ownerless (ride instead of steal).
Whenever I try to call it using the hotkey, it says "[My horse name] is nearby". But, it's not. It's very far.

It also works with the Wild Horses Creation out of the box.
For those who want to loot/talk while on horse, Better Third Person Selection - BTPS works wonderfully with this mod.

Happy Riding.
